他将伯特利的坛，就是叫以色列人陷在罪里、尼八的儿子耶罗波安所筑的那坛，都拆毁焚烧，打碎成灰，并焚烧了亚舍拉。

撒玛利亚的居民必因伯亚文的牛犊惊恐；崇拜牛犊的民和喜爱牛犊的祭司都必因荣耀离开它，为它悲哀。人必将牛犊带到亚述当作礼物，献给耶雷布王。以法莲必蒙羞；以色列必因自己的计谋惭愧。至于撒玛利亚，她的王必灭没，如水面的沫子一样。伯亚文的邱坛，就是以色列取罪的地方必被毁灭；荆棘和蒺藜必长在他们的祭坛上。他们必对大山说：“遮盖我们！”对小山说：“倒在我们身上！”

所以在这民中必有哄嚷之声，你一切的保障必被拆毁，就如沙勒幔在争战的日子拆毁伯亚比勒，将其中的母子一同摔死。因他们的大恶，伯特利必使你们遭遇如此。到了黎明，以色列的王必全然灭绝。”

又在玛拿西、以法莲、西缅、拿弗他利各城，和四围破坏之处，都这样行；又拆毁祭坛，把木偶和雕刻的像打碎成灰，砍断以色列遍地所有的日像，就回耶路撒冷去了。

不要往伯特利寻求，不要进入吉甲，不要过到别是巴；因为吉甲必被掳掠，伯特利也必归于无有。”要寻求耶和华，就必存活，免得他在约瑟家像火发出，在伯特利焚烧，无人扑灭。

现在你去领这百姓，往我所告诉你的地方去，我的使者必在你前面引路；只是到我追讨的日子，我必追讨他们的罪。”

这事既都完毕，在那里的以色列众人就到犹大的城邑，打碎柱像，砍断木偶，又在犹大、便雅悯、以法莲、玛拿西遍地将邱坛和祭坛拆毁净尽。于是以色列众人各回各城，各归各地。

所以我必使撒玛利亚变为田野的乱堆，又作为种葡萄之处；也必将她的石头倒在谷中，露出根基来。她一切雕刻的偶像必被打碎；她所得的财物必被火烧；所有的偶像我必毁灭；因为是从妓女雇价所聚来的，后必归为妓女的雇价。

神人奉耶和华的命向坛呼叫，说：“坛哪，坛哪！耶和华如此说：大卫家里必生一个儿子，名叫约西亚，他必将邱坛的祭司，就是在你上面烧香的，杀在你上面，人的骨头也必烧在你上面。”当日，神人设个预兆，说：“这坛必破裂，坛上的灰必倾撒，这是耶和华说的预兆。”耶罗波安王听见神人向伯特利的坛所呼叫的话，就从坛上伸手，说：“拿住他吧！”王向神人所伸的手就枯干了，不能弯回；坛也破裂了，坛上的灰倾撒了，正如神人奉耶和华的命所设的预兆。

我看见主站在祭坛旁边；他说：“你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，打碎柱顶，落在众人头上；所剩下的人，我必用刀杀戮，无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。
