Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary[ there shall be] even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

因此，主耶和华这样说：“敌人必围攻这地，使你们的势力倾覆，抢掠你们的堡垒。”

所以主耶和華如此說：敵人必來圍攻這地，使你的勢力衰微，搶掠你的家宅。

所以主耶和華如此說：「敵人必來圍攻這地，削弱你的勢力，搶掠你的宮殿。」

所以主耶和華如此說：「敵人必來圍攻這地，削弱你的勢力，搶掠你的宮殿。」

所以，主耶和華說：「敵人要圍攻此地，攻破他們的防守，搶掠他們的城堡。」

因此，主耶和華這樣說：“敵人必圍攻這地，使你們的勢力傾覆，搶掠你們的堡壘。”

因此主永恆主這麼說：『必有敵人圍攻你的地，使你的勢力衰退，你的宮堡被掠劫。』

故主耶和華曰、將有敵人環繞斯土、敗爾力、掠爾第、

故主耶和華曰、必有敵人、環攻斯土、破爾城垣、毀爾宮殿、

故主天主曰、必有敵人環攻斯地、傾毀爾鞏固之城、傾毀爾鞏固之城或作使爾力微弱爾之宮殿必被劫奪、

Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“ An enemy will overrun your land, pull down your strongholds and plunder your fortresses.”

So the Lord and King says,“ Enemies will take over your land. They will pull down your places of safety. They will rob your forts.”

Therefore thus says the Lord God:“ An adversary shall surround the land and bring down your defenses from you, and your strongholds shall be plundered.”

Therefore,” says the Sovereign Lord,“ an enemy is coming! He will surround them and shatter their defenses. Then he will plunder all their fortresses.”

Therefore, the Lord GOD says: An enemy will surround the land; he will destroy your strongholds and plunder your citadels.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ An enemy, one surrounding the land, Will take down your fortifications from you, And your citadels will be looted.”

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ An adversary shall be all around the land; He shall sap your strength from you, And your palaces shall be plundered.”

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: An adversary there shall be, even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be plundered.

Therefore, the Lord God says: An enemy will surround the land; he will destroy your strongholds and plunder your citadels.

Therefore,” says the sovereign LORD,“ an enemy will encircle the land. He will take away your power; your fortresses will be looted.”

Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ An adversary will overrun the land; and he will pull down your strongholds, and your fortresses will be plundered.”

But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness.

But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as[ he had done] year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor[ by] the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which[ was] the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel,[ that] Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against Samaria, and besieged it.And at the end of three years they took it:[ even] in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that[ is] the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, Samaria was taken.And the king of Assyria did carry away Israel unto Assyria, and put them in Halah and in Habor[ by] the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes:

And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.

And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

[ And] Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

O Assyrian, the rod of mine anger, and the staff in their hand is mine indignation.I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

[ Is] not Calno as Carchemish?[ is] not Hamath as Arpad?[ is] not Samaria as Damascus?As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many,[ even] the king of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:And he shall pass through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach[ even] to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel.

He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return.And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour[ them], because of their own counsels.

The LORD shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah;[ even] the king of Assyria.And it shall come to pass in that day,[ that] the LORD shall hiss for the fly that[ is] in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that[ is] in the land of Assyria.And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired,[ namely], by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard.And it shall come to pass in that day,[ that] a man shall nourish a young cow, and two sheep;And it shall come to pass, for the abundance of milk[ that] they shall give he shall eat butter: for butter and honey shall every one eat that is left in the land.And it shall come to pass in that day,[ that] every place shall be, where there were a thousand vines at a thousand silverlings, it shall[ even] be for briers and thorns.With arrows and with bows shall[ men] come thither; because all the land shall become briers and thorns.And[ on] all hills that shall be digged with the mattock, there shall not come thither the fear of briers and thorns: but it shall be for the sending forth of oxen, and for the treading of lesser cattle.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.
