I raised up some of your sons for prophets, and some of your young men for Nazirites. Isn’t this true, you children of Israel?” says Yahweh.

我从你们子弟中兴起先知，又从你们少年人中兴起拿细耳人。以色列人哪，不是这样吗？”这是耶和华说的。

我从你们子孙中兴起先知，又从你们少年中兴起拿细耳人。以色列人哪，不是这样吗？”这是耶和华说的。

我从你们的子孙中拣选先知，从你们的青年中拣选拿细耳人。以色列人啊，难道不是这样吗？这是耶和华说的。

我也從你們子弟中興起了神言人，從你們青年人之中興起了離俗人。以色列人哪，不是這樣麼？』永恆主發神諭說。

耶和華曰、以色列人歟、我自爾諸子中、興起先知、由爾少年中、興起拿細耳人、是事豈不有諸、

耶和華又曰、以色列族乎、我在爾庶民間、簡人為先知、在爾幼稚中、選人以離世故、是事豈不有諸、

在爾子弟中、立人為先知、在爾壯男間、立人為那細珥、那細珥譯即離俗者之義下同主曰、以色列人歟、是事豈不有乎、

“ I also raised up prophets from among your children and Nazirites from among your youths. Is this not true, people of Israel?” declares the Lord.

I raised up prophets from among your children. I also set apart for myself some of your young people to be Nazirites. Isn’t that true, people of Israel?” announces the Lord.

And I raised up some of your sons for prophets, and some of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not indeed so, O people of Israel?” declares the Lord.

I chose some of your sons to be prophets and others to be Nazirites. Can you deny this, my people of Israel?” asks the Lord.

I raised up some of your sons as prophets and some of your young men as Nazirites. Is this not the case, Israelites? This is the LORD’s declaration.

Then I raised up some of your sons to be prophets, And some of your young men to be Nazirites. Is this not so, you sons of Israel?” declares the Lord.

I raised up some of your sons as prophets, And some of your young men as Nazirites. Is it not so, O you children of Israel?” Says the Lord.

And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazirites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith Jehovah.

I raised up some of your sons as prophets and some of your young men as Nazirites. Is this not the case, Israelites? This is the Lord’s declaration.

And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites.[ Is it] not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.

I made some of your sons prophets and some of your young men Nazirites. Is this not true, you Israelites?” The LORD is speaking!

“ Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them:‘ When either man or woman shall make a special vow, the vow of a Nazirite, to separate himself to Yahweh,he shall separate himself from wine and strong drink. He shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of fermented drink, neither shall he drink any juice of grapes, nor eat fresh grapes or dried.

Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them.

They called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

Yet Yahweh testified to Israel, and to Judah, by every prophet, and every seer, saying,“ Turn from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.”

“ Don’t prophesy!” They prophesy.“ Don’t prophesy about these things. Disgrace won’t overtake us.”

Yahweh, the God of their fathers, sent to them by his messengers, rising up early and sending, because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place;

Now therefore please beware and drink no wine nor strong drink, and don’t eat any unclean thing;for, behold, you shall conceive and give birth to a son. No razor shall come on his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb. He shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.”Then the woman came and told her husband, saying,“ A man of God came to me, and his face was like the face of the angel of God, very awesome. I didn’t ask him where he was from, neither did he tell me his name;but he said to me,‘ Behold, you shall conceive and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink. Don’t eat any unclean thing, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb to the day of his death.’”

My people, what have I done to you? How have I burdened you? Answer me!For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage. I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As Yahweh, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”

Generation, consider Yahweh’s word. Have I been a wilderness to Israel? Or a land of thick darkness? Why do my people say,‘ We have broken loose. We will come to you no more?’

Her nobles were purer than snow. They were whiter than milk. They were more ruddy in body than rubies. Their polishing was like sapphire.

Then the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes and to all the people, saying,“ This man is worthy of death; for he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.”

who tell the seers,“ Don’t see!” and the prophets,“ Don’t prophesy to us right things. Tell us pleasant things. Prophesy deceits.Get out of the way. Turn away from the path. Cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.”

Elijah said to Elisha,“ Please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me as far as Bethel.” Elisha said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel.The sons of the prophets who were at Bethel came out to Elisha, and said to him,“ Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from your head today?” He said,“ Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”Elijah said to him,“ Elisha, please wait here, for Yahweh has sent me to Jericho.” He said,“ As Yahweh lives, and as your soul lives, I will not leave you.” So they came to Jericho.The sons of the prophets who were at Jericho came near to Elisha, and said to him,“ Do you know that Yahweh will take away your master from your head today?” He answered,“ Yes, I know it. Hold your peace.”

He hurried, and took the headband away from his eyes; and the king of Israel recognized that he was one of the prophets.

The sons of the prophets said to Elisha,“ See now, the place where we live and meet with you is too small for us.

“ You stiff- necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do.

Behold, a prophet came near to Ahab king of Israel, and said,“ Yahweh says,‘ Have you seen all this great multitude? Behold, I will deliver it into your hand today. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.’”

“ Therefore Yahweh says concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying,‘ You shall not prophesy in Yahweh’s name, that you not die by our hand;’

“ Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to yield grapes, did it yield wild grapes?

All Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of Yahweh.

saying,“ Didn’t we strictly command you not to teach in this name? Behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man’s blood on us.”

it seemed good to me also, having traced the course of all things accurately from the first, to write to you in order, most excellent Theophilus;that you might know the certainty concerning the things in which you were instructed.There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the priestly division of Abijah. He had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they both were well advanced in years.Now while he executed the priest’s office before God in the order of his division,according to the custom of the priest’s office, his lot was to enter into the temple of the Lord and burn incense.The whole multitude of the people were praying outside at the hour of incense.An angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.Zacharias was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him.But the angel said to him,“ Don’t be afraid, Zacharias, because your request has been heard, and your wife, Elizabeth, will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.You will have joy and gladness; and many will rejoice at his birth.For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he will drink no wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.He will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord, their God.He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah,‘ to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to prepare a people prepared for the Lord.”

I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him.

When the season for the fruit came near, he sent his servants to the farmers, to receive his fruit.The farmers took his servants, beat one, killed another, and stoned another.Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they treated them the same way.But afterward he sent to them his son, saying,‘ They will respect my son.’But the farmers, when they saw the son, said among themselves,‘ This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and seize his inheritance.’

Saul sent messengers to seize David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, God’s Spirit came on Saul’s messengers, and they also prophesied.

Yahweh says,“ What unrighteousness have your fathers found in me, that they have gone far from me, and have walked after worthless vanity, and have become worthless?

The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat,“ There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh, Micaiah the son of Imlah; but I hate him, for he does not prophesy good concerning me, but evil.” Jehoshaphat said,“ Don’t let the king say so.”

A certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his fellow by Yahweh’s word,“ Please strike me!” The man refused to strike him.

Anoint Jehu the son of Nimshi to be king over Israel; and anoint Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel Meholah to be prophet in your place.

Amaziah also said to Amos,“ You seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:but don’t prophesy again any more at Bethel; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house!”

for when Jezebel cut off Yahweh’s prophets, Obadiah took one hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water.)

knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation.For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit.

who killed both the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and drove us out, and don’t please God, and are contrary to all men,forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved, to fill up their sins always. But wrath has come on them to the uttermost.
