I brought you up out of Egypt and led you forty years in the wilderness to give you the land of the Amorites.

又領爾出伊及、在曠野導爾四十年、使爾得亞摩利人之地為業、

“ People of Israel, I brought you up out of Egypt. I led you in the desert for 40 years. I gave you the land of the Amorites.

Also it was I who brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

It was I who rescued you from Egypt and led you through the desert for forty years, so you could possess the land of the Amorites.

And I brought you from the land of Egypt and led you forty years in the wilderness in order to possess the land of the Amorite.

And it was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, And led you in the wilderness for forty years So that you might take possession of the land of the Amorite.

Also it was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, And led you forty years through the wilderness, To possess the land of the Amorite.

Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

And I brought you from the land of Egypt and led you 40 years in the wilderness in order to possess the land of the Amorite.

Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

I brought you up from the land of Egypt; I led you through the wilderness for forty years so you could take the Amorites’ land as your own.

Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything.

And on that very day the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt by their divisions.

Hear this word, people of Israel, the word the Lord has spoken against you— against the whole family I brought up out of Egypt:

“ Are not you Israelites the same to me as the Cushites?” declares the Lord.“ Did I not bring Israel up from Egypt, the Philistines from Caphtor and the Arameans from Kir?

I brought you up out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. I sent Moses to lead you, also Aaron and Miriam.

for about forty years he endured their conduct in the wilderness;

But God turned away from them and gave them over to the worship of the sun, moon and stars. This agrees with what is written in the book of the prophets:“‘ Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, people of Israel?

“ I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

Therefore I led them out of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.

You found his heart faithful to you, and you made a covenant with him to give to his descendants the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites and Girgashites. You have kept your promise because you are righteous.“ You saw the suffering of our ancestors in Egypt; you heard their cry at the Red Sea.You sent signs and wonders against Pharaoh, against all his officials and all the people of his land, for you knew how arrogantly the Egyptians treated them. You made a name for yourself, which remains to this day.You divided the sea before them, so that they passed through it on dry ground, but you hurled their pursuers into the depths, like a stone into mighty waters.By day you led them with a pillar of cloud, and by night with a pillar of fire to give them light on the way they were to take.

And the little ones that you said would be taken captive, your children who do not yet know good from bad— they will enter the land. I will give it to them and they will take possession of it.

For he remembered his holy promise given to his servant Abraham.He brought out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy;

Then I said to you,“ You have reached the hill country of the Amorites, which the Lord our God is giving us.See, the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, told you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said,‘ They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’

Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years.

For forty years you sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing, their clothes did not wear out nor did their feet become swollen.

You performed signs and wonders in Egypt and have continued them to this day, in Israel and among all mankind, and have gained the renown that is still yours.You brought your people Israel out of Egypt with signs and wonders, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror.

So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey— the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.

to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt His love endures forever.and brought Israel out from among them His love endures forever.

As for your children that you said would be taken as plunder, I will bring them in to enjoy the land you have rejected.But as for you, your bodies will fall in this wilderness.Your children will be shepherds here for forty years, suffering for your unfaithfulness, until the last of your bodies lies in the wilderness.For forty years— one year for each of the forty days you explored the land— you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.’I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will surely do these things to this whole wicked community, which has banded together against me. They will meet their end in this wilderness; here they will die.”
