This is what the Lord says:“ For three offenses of Tyre, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because they turned an entire population over to Edom And did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.

耶和华如此说：“推罗三番四次地犯罪，我必不免去她的刑罚；因为她将众民交给以东，并不记念弟兄的盟约。

耶和华如此说：“推罗三番四次犯罪，将全体百姓交给以东，不顾念弟兄的盟约，我必不撤销对它的惩罚，

永恆主這麼說：『推羅三番四次地悖逆，我必不收回成命，因為他們使全體人民都流亡、去送交以東，並不懷念弟兄情之盟約。

耶和華曰、推羅干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其付眾民於以東、不念昆弟之約也、

耶和華又曰、推羅犯罪、至三至四、更以俘囚、鬻於以東、不念舊約、以修和好、故我必罰其罪、

主如是云、推羅人犯罪、至三至四、更擄民眾多、付於以東、不念兄弟舊約、故我降罰以報之、必不挽回、

This is what the Lord says:“ For three sins of Tyre, even for four, I will not relent. Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom, disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,

The Lord says,“ The people of Tyre have sinned again and again. So I will judge them. They captured whole communities. They sold them to Edom. They did not honor the treaty of friendship they had made.

Thus says the Lord:“ For three transgressions of Tyre, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they delivered up a whole people to Edom, and did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.

This is what the Lord says:“ The people of Tyre have sinned again and again, and I will not let them go unpunished! They broke their treaty of brotherhood with Israel, selling whole villages as slaves to Edom.

The LORD says: I will not relent from punishing Tyre for three crimes, even four, because they handed over a whole community of exiles to Edom and broke a treaty of brotherhood.

Thus says the Lord:“ For three transgressions of Tyre, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, And did not remember the covenant of brotherhood.

Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Tyre, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole people to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant.

The Lord says: I will not relent from punishing Tyre for three crimes, even four, because they handed over a whole community of exiles to Edom and broke a treaty of brotherhood.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away[ the punishment] thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:

This is what the LORD says:“ Because Tyre has committed three crimes– make that four!– I will not revoke my decree of judgment. They sold a whole community to Edom; they failed to observe a treaty of brotherhood.

Yahweh says:“ For three transgressions of Tyre, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they delivered up the whole community to Edom, and didn’t remember the brotherly covenant;

The pronouncement concerning Tyre: Wail, you ships of Tarshish, For Tyre is destroyed, without house or harbor; It is reported to them from the land of Cyprus.Be silent, you inhabitants of the coastland, You merchants of Sidon; Your messengers crossed the seaAnd were on many waters. The grain of the Nile, the harvest of the River was her revenue; And she was the market of nations.Be ashamed, Sidon, For the sea speaks, the stronghold of the sea, saying,“ I have neither been in labor nor given birth, I have neither brought up young men nor raised virgins.”When the report reaches Egypt, They will be in anguish over the report of Tyre.Pass over to Tarshish; Wail, you inhabitants of the coastland.Is this your jubilant city, Whose origin is from antiquity, Whose feet used to bring her to colonize distant places?Who has planned this against Tyre, the bestower of crowns, Whose merchants were princes, whose traders were the honored of the earth?The Lord of armies has planned it, to defile the pride of all beauty, To despise all the honored of the earth.Overflow your land like the Nile, you daughter of Tarshish, There is no more restraint.He has stretched His hand out over the sea, He has made the kingdoms tremble; The Lord has given a command concerning Canaan to demolish its strongholds.He has said,“ You shall not be jubilant anymore, you crushed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Cyprus; even there you will find no rest.”Behold, the land of the Chaldeans— this is the people that did not exist; Assyria allocated it for desert creatures— they erected their siege towers, they stripped its palaces, they made it a ruin.Wail, you ships of Tarshish, For your stronghold is destroyed.Now on that day Tyre will be forgotten for seventy years like the days of one king. At the end of seventy years it will happen to Tyre as in the song of the prostitute:Take your harp, wander around the city, You forgotten prostitute; Pluck the strings skillfully, sing many songs, That you may be remembered.It will come about at the end of seventy years that the Lord will visit Tyre. Then she will go back to her prostitute’s wages and commit prostitution with all the kingdoms on the face of the earth.Her profit and her prostitute’s wages will be sacred to the Lord; it will not be stored up or hoarded, but her profit will become sufficient food and magnificent attire for those who dwell in the presence of the Lord.

( Hiram king of Tyre had supplied Solomon with cedar and juniper timber and gold, satisfying all his desire), that King Solomon then gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.So Hiram left Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him, and they did not please him.And he said,“ What are these cities which you have given me, my brother?” So they have been called the land of Cabul to this day.And Hiram sent to the king 120 talents of gold.

Moreover, what are you to Me, Tyre, Sidon, and all the regions of Philistia? Are you repaying Me with retribution? But if you are showing Me retribution, swiftly and speedily I will return your retribution on your head!Since you have taken My silver and My gold, brought My precious treasures to your temples,and sold the sons of Judah and Jerusalem to the Greeks in order to remove them far from their territory,behold, I am going to stir them up from the place where you have sold them, and return your retribution on your head.I will also sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the sons of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a distant nation,” for the Lord has spoken.

And Hamath also, which borders on it; Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.For Tyre built herself a fortress, And piled up silver like dust, And gold like the mud of the streets.Behold, the Lord will dispossess her And throw her wealth into the sea; And she will be consumed with fire.

Send me also cedar, juniper, and algum timber from Lebanon, for I know that your servants know how to cut timber of Lebanon; and indeed my servants will work with your servants,to prepare timber in abundance for me, for the house which I am about to build will be great and wonderful.Now behold, I will give your servants, the woodsmen who cut the timber, twenty thousand kors of crushed wheat, twenty thousand kors of barley, twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.”Then Huram, king of Tyre, answered in a letter sent to Solomon:“ Because the Lord loves His people, He has made you king over them.”Then Huram continued,“ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given King David a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, who will build a house for the Lord and a royal palace for himself.“ Now then, I am sending Huram abi, a skilled man, endowed with understanding,the son of a Danite woman and a Tyrian father, who knows how to work in gold, silver, bronze, iron, stone, and wood, and in purple, violet, linen, and crimson fabrics, and who knows how to make all kinds of engravings and to execute any design which is assigned to him, to work with your skilled workers and with those of my lord, your father David.Now then, let my lord send his servants wheat and barley, oil and wine, of which he has spoken.We will cut whatever timber you need from Lebanon and bring it to you as rafts by sea to Joppa, so that you may carry it up to Jerusalem.”

Now in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,“ Son of man, because Tyre has said in regard to Jerusalem,‘ Aha! The gateway of the peoples is broken; it has opened to me. I shall be filled, now that she is laid waste,’therefore this is what the Lord God says:‘ Behold, I am against you, Tyre, and I will bring up many nations against you, as the sea brings up its waves.They will destroy the walls of Tyre and tear down her towers; and I will sweep her debris away from her and make her a bare rock.She will become a dry place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea, for I have spoken,’ declares the Lord God;‘ and she will become plunder for the nations.Also her daughters who are on the mainland will be killed by the sword, and they will know that I am the Lord.’ ”For the Lord God says this:“ Behold, I am going to bring upon Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses, chariots, cavalry, and a great army.He will kill your daughters on the mainland with the sword; and he will make siege walls against you, pile up an assault ramp against you, and raise up a large shield against you.And he will direct the blow of his battering rams against your walls, and he will tear down your towers with his axes.Because of the multitude of his horses, the dust raised by them will cover you; your walls will shake from the noise of cavalry, wagons, and chariots when he enters your gates as warriors enter a city that is breached.With the hoofs of his horses he will trample all your streets. He will kill your people with the sword, and your strong pillars will go down to the ground.Also they will take your riches as spoils and plunder your merchandise, tear down your walls and destroy your delightful houses, and throw your stones, your timbers, and your debris into the water.So I will put an end to the sound of your songs, and the sound of your harps will no longer be heard.I will turn you into a bare rock; you will become a dry place for the spreading of nets. You will not be rebuilt, for I the Lord have spoken,” declares the Lord God.The Lord God says this to Tyre:“ Will the coastlands not shake from the sound of your downfall when the wounded groan, when the slaughter takes place in your midst?Then all the princes of the sea will descend from their thrones, remove their robes, and strip off their colorfully woven garments. They will clothe themselves with trembling; they will sit on the ground, tremble again and again, and be appalled at you.And they will take up a song of mourning over you and say to you,‘ How you have perished, you inhabited one, From the seas, you famous city, Which was mighty on the sea, She and her inhabitants, Who imposed her terror On all her inhabitants!Now the coastlands will tremble On the day of your downfall; Yes, the coastlands which are by the sea Will be horrified at your passing.’ ”For this is what the Lord God says:“ When I make you a desolate city, like the cities which are not inhabited, when I bring up the deep over you and the great waters cover you,then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to the people of old, and I will make you remain in the lower parts of the earth, like the ancient ruins, with those who go down to the pit, so that you will not be inhabited; but I will put glory in the land of the living.I will cause you sudden terrors and you will no longer exist; though you will be sought, you will never be found again,” declares the Lord God.

Then Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David with cedar trees, carpenters, and stonemasons; and they built a house for David.

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon when he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always been a friend of David.Then Solomon sent word to Hiram, saying,“ You know that David my father was unable to build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which surrounded him, until the Lord put them under the soles of his feet.But now the Lord my God has secured me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor misfortune.So behold, I intend to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, just as the Lord spoke to David my father, saying,‘ Your son, whom I will put on your throne in your place, he will build the house for My name.’Now then, issue orders that they cut cedars from Lebanon for me, and my servants will be with your servants; and I will give you wages for your servants in accordance with all that you say, for you yourself know that there is no one among us who knows how to cut timber like the Sidonians.”When Hiram heard the words of Solomon, he greatly rejoiced; and he said,“ Blessed be the Lord today, who has given to David a wise son over this great people.”So Hiram sent word to Solomon, saying,“ I have heard the message which you sent me; I will do everything you wish concerning the cedar and juniper timber.My servants will bring the timbers down from Lebanon to the sea; and I will have them made into rafts to go by sea to the place where you direct me, and I will have them broken up there, and you will carry them away. Then you shall do what I wish, by giving food to my household.”So Hiram gave Solomon all that he wished of the cedar and juniper timber.Solomon then gave Hiram twenty thousand kors of wheat as food for his household, and twenty kors of pure oil; this is what Solomon would give Hiram year by year.

and to all the kings of Tyre, all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the coastlands which are beyond the sea;

This is what the Lord says:“ For three offenses of Gaza, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because they led into exile an entire population To turn them over to Edom.

“ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that occurred in you had occurred in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

This is what the Lord says:“ For three offenses of Edom, and for four, I will not revoke its punishment, Because he pursued his brother with the sword And stifled his compassion; His anger also tore continually, And he maintained his fury forever.

Because of the day that is coming To destroy all the Philistines, To eliminate from Tyre and Sidon Every surviving ally; For the Lord is going to destroy the Philistines, The remnant of the coastland of Caphtor.
