I will send fire on the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses.

So I will send fire to destroy the walls of Gaza. It will burn up its forts.

So I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, and it shall devour her strongholds.

So I will send down fire on the walls of Gaza, and all its fortresses will be destroyed.

Therefore, I will send fire against the walls of Gaza, and it will consume its citadels.

So I will send fire on the wall of Gaza And it will consume her citadels.

But I will send a fire upon the wall of Gaza, Which shall devour its palaces.

So I will set Gaza’s city wall on fire; fire will consume her fortresses.

He smote the Philistines,[ even] unto Gaza, and the borders thereof, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.

The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against the Philistines, before that Pharaoh smote Gaza.

And he went forth and warred against the Philistines, and brake down the wall of Gath, and the wall of Jabneh, and the wall of Ashdod, and built cities about Ashdod, and among the Philistines.

But God[ is] the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.For in the hand of the LORD[ there is] a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring[ them] out,[ and] drink[ them].

[ To wit], Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as[ it is] this day;Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;And all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of Uz, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Azzah, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod,

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?[ How long] shall they utter[ and] speak hard things?[ and] all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.

To me[ belongeth] vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in[ due] time: for the day of their calamity[ is] at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but[ rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance[ is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Ashkelon shall see[ it], and fear; Gaza also[ shall see it], and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he,[ shall be] for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.I will make mine arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh;[ and that] with the blood of the slain and of the captives, from the beginning of revenges upon the enemy.Rejoice, O ye nations,[ with] his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his land,[ and] to his people.

For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
