I will send fire on the house of Hazael that will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.

So I will send fire to destroy the palace of King Hazael. It will burn up the forts of his son Ben- Hadad.

So I will send a fire upon the house of Hazael, and it shall devour the strongholds of Ben-hadad.

So I will send down fire on King Hazael’s palace, and the fortresses of King Ben hadad will be destroyed.

Therefore, I will send fire against Hazael’s palace, and it will consume Ben-hadad’s citadels.

So I will send fire upon the house of Hazael, And it will consume the citadels of Ben hadad.

But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, Which shall devour the palaces of Ben-Hadad.

And Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz took again out of the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael the cities which he had taken out of the hand of Jehoahaz his father by war. Three times did Joash smite him, and recovered the cities of Israel.

And Elisha came to Damascus; and Benhadad the king of Syria was sick; and it was told him, saying, The man of God is come hither.And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thy hand, and go, meet the man of God, and inquire of Jehovah by him, saying, Shall I recover of this sickness?So Hazael went to meet him, and took a present with him, even of every good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ burden, and came and stood before him, and said, Thy son Benhadad king of Syria hath sent me to thee, saying, Shall I recover of this sickness?And Elisha said unto him, Go, say unto him, Thou shalt surely recover; howbeit Jehovah hath showed me that he shall surely die.And he settled his countenance stedfastly upon him, until he was ashamed: and the man of God wept.And Hazael said, Why weepeth my lord? And he answered, Because I know the evil that thou wilt do unto the children of Israel: their strongholds wilt thou set on fire, and their young men wilt thou slay with the sword, and wilt dash in pieces their little ones, and rip up their women with child.And Hazael said, But what is thy servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, Jehovah hath showed me that thou shalt be king over Syria.Then he departed from Elisha, and came to his master; who said to him, What said Elisha to thee? And he answered, He told me that thou wouldest surely recover.And it came to pass on the morrow, that he took the coverlet, and dipped it in water, and spread it on his face, so that he died: and Hazael reigned in his stead.

But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.

And the anger of Jehovah was kindled against Israel, and he delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael, continually.

And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria.

And Ben- hadad the king of Syria gathered all his host together; and there were thirty and two kings with him, and horses and chariots: and he went up and besieged Samaria, and fought against it.And he sent messengers to Ahab king of Israel, into the city, and said unto him, Thus saith Ben- hadad,Thy silver and thy gold is mine; thy wives also and thy children, even the goodliest, are mine.And the king of Israel answered and said, It is according to thy saying, my lord, O king; I am thine, and all that I have.And the messengers came again, and said, Thus speaketh Ben- hadad, saying, I sent indeed unto thee, saying, Thou shalt deliver me thy silver, and thy gold, and thy wives, and thy children;but I will send my servants unto thee to- morrow about this time, and they shall search thy house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it away.Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.And all the elders and all the people said unto him, Hearken thou not, neither consent.Wherefore he said unto the messengers of Ben- hadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou didst send for to thy servant at the first I will do; but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again.And Ben- hadad sent unto him, and said, The gods do so unto me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me.And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth on his armor boast himself as he that putteth it off.And it came to pass, when Ben- hadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings, in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city.And, behold, a prophet came near unto Ahab king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thy hand this day; and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah.And Ahab said, By whom? And he said, Thus saith Jehovah, By the young men of the princes of the provinces. Then he said, Who shall begin the battle? And he answered, Thou.Then he mustered the young men of the princes of the provinces, and they were two hundred and thirty- two: and after them he mustered all the people, even all the children of Israel, being seven thousand.And they went out at noon. But Ben- hadad was drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two kings that helped him.And the young men of the princes of the provinces went out first; and Ben- hadad sent out, and they told him, saying, There are men come out from Samaria.And he said, Whether they are come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they are come out for war, take them alive.So these went out of the city, the young men of the princes of the provinces, and the army which followed them.And they slew every one his man; and the Syrians fled, and Israel pursued them: and Ben- hadad the king of Syria escaped on a horse with horsemen.And the king of Israel went out, and smote the horses and chariots, and slew the Syrians with a great slaughter.And the prophet came near to the king of Israel, and said unto him, Go, strengthen thyself, and mark, and see what thou doest; for at the return of the year the king of Syria will come up against thee.

But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyre, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

if ye then have dealt truly and uprightly with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, then rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:but if not, let fire come out from Abimelech, and devour the men of Shechem, and the house of Millo; and let fire come out from the men of Shechem, and from the house of Millo, and devour Abimelech.
