論到睡了的人，我們不願意弟兄們不知道，恐怕你們憂傷，像那些沒有指望的人一樣。

艷麗是虛假的，美容是虛浮的；惟敬畏耶和華的婦女必得稱讚。願她享受操作所得的；願她的工作在城門口榮耀她。

義人的紀念被稱讚；惡人的名字必朽爛。

有虔誠的人把司提反埋葬了，為他捶胸大哭。

我若見人因無衣死亡，或見窮乏人身無遮蓋；我若不使他因我羊的毛得暖，為我祝福；

彼得伸手扶她起來，叫眾聖徒和寡婦進去，把多加活活地交給他們。

因為人若有願做的心，必蒙悅納，乃是照他所有的，並不是照他所無的。

我與他們同在的時候，因你所賜給我的名保守了他們，我也護衛了他們；其中除了那滅亡之子，沒有一個滅亡的，好叫經上的話得應驗。

因為常有窮人和你們同在；只是你們不常有我。

在神－我們的父面前，不住地記念你們因信心所做的工夫，因愛心所受的勞苦，因盼望我們主耶穌基督所存的忍耐。

在約帕有一個女徒，名叫大比大，翻希臘話就是多加；她廣行善事，多施賙濟。當時，她患病而死，有人把她洗了，停在樓上。

她所做的，是盡她所能的；她是為我安葬的事把香膏預先澆在我身上。

那時，門徒增多，有說希臘話的猶太人向希伯來人發怨言，因為在天天的供給上忽略了他們的寡婦。

若是弟兄或是姊妹，赤身露體，又缺了日用的飲食；你們中間有人對他們說：「平平安安地去吧！願你們穿得暖，吃得飽」，卻不給他們身體所需用的，這有甚麼益處呢？這樣，信心若沒有行為就是死的。

耶穌說：「噯！這又不信又悖謬的世代啊，我在你們這裏要到幾時呢？我忍耐你們要到幾時呢？把他帶到我這裏來吧！」

以色列的女子啊，當為掃羅哭號！他曾使你們穿朱紅色的美衣，使你們衣服有黃金的妝飾。

從前偷竊的，不要再偷；總要勞力，親手做正經事，就可有餘分給那缺少的人。

我赤身露體，你們給我穿；我病了，你們看顧我；我在監裏，你們來看我。』義人就回答說：『主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了，給你吃，渴了，給你喝？甚麼時候見你作客旅，留你住，或是赤身露體，給你穿？又甚麼時候見你病了，或是在監裏，來看你呢？』

因為常有窮人和你們同在，只是你們不常有我。」

我凡事給你們作榜樣，叫你們知道應當這樣勞苦，扶助軟弱的人，又當記念主耶穌的話，說：『施比受更為有福。』」

小子們哪，我們相愛，不要只在言語和舌頭上，總要在行為和誠實上。

凡你手所當做的事要盡力去做；因為在你所必去的陰間沒有工作，沒有謀算，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。
