弟兄們，論到睡了的人，我們不願意你們不知道，免得你們憂傷，像那些沒有盼望的人一樣。

艷麗是虛假的，美容是虛浮的；唯有敬畏耶和華的婦女，必得稱讚。願她享受自己手所作的成果；願她的工作在城門口使她受稱讚。

義人的名必蒙稱讚，惡人的名字卻必腐朽。

有些虔誠的人安葬了司提反，為他大大悲痛一番。

我若見人因無衣服死亡，或貧窮人毫無遮蓋；他若不因我的羊毛得溫暖，他的心若不向我道謝；

主對他們說：“這就是我從前與你們同在的時候，對你們說過的話：摩西的律法、先知書和詩篇上所記關於我的一切事，都必定應驗。”

彼得伸手扶她起來，叫聖徒們和寡婦都進來，把多加活活地交給他們。

因為人要是有願意作的心，按照他所有的，必蒙悅納，不是按照他所沒有的。

我跟他們在一起的時候，因你賜給我的名，我保守了他們，也護衛了他們；他們中間除了那滅亡的人以外，沒有一個是滅亡的，這就應驗了經上的話。

你們常常有窮人跟你們在一起，然而卻不常有我。

在我們的父神面前，不住地記念你們信心的工作，愛心的勞苦和因盼望我們主耶穌基督而有的堅忍。

在約帕有一個女門徒，名叫戴比莎，希臘話叫多加；她為人樂善好施。那時，她因病死了；有人把她洗淨了，停放在樓上。

她已經盡她所能的作了。她預先用香膏膏了我的身體，是為了我的安葬。

門徒不斷增加的時候，講希臘話的猶太人，埋怨本地的希伯來人，因為在日常的供給上，忽略了他們的寡婦。

如果有弟兄或姊妹缺衣少食，而你們中間有人對他們說：“平平安安地去吧！願你們穿得暖，吃得飽。”卻不給他們身體所需用的，那有甚麼用處呢？照樣，如果只有信心，沒有行為，這信心就是死的。

耶穌說：“唉！這又不信又乖謬的世代啊！我要跟你們在一起到幾時呢？我要忍受你們到幾時呢？把孩子帶到我這裡來吧。”

以色列的女子啊！你們要為掃羅哭泣，他曾給你們穿上朱紅色豪華的衣服，又給你們的外衣加上金飾。

偷竊的，不要再偷，卻要作工，親手作正當的事，使自己可以把所得到的，分給缺乏的人。

我赤身露體，你們給我衣服穿；我病了，你們看顧我；我在監裡，你們來看我。’義人就回答：‘主啊，我們甚麼時候見你餓了就給你吃，渴了就給你喝呢？又甚麼時候見你作旅客就接待你，赤身露體就給你衣服穿呢？或者甚麼時候見你病了，或在監裡就來看你呢？’

你們常常有窮人跟你們在一起，卻不常有我。”

我凡事以身作則，你們必須照樣辛勞，扶助軟弱的人，並且記念主耶穌的話：‘施比受更為有福。’”

孩子們，我們愛人，不要只在言語和舌頭上，總要在行動和真誠上表現出來。

凡是你手可作的，都當盡力去作；因為在你所要去的陰間裡，既沒有工作，又沒有籌謀；沒有知識，也沒有智慧。
