And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;[ Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.

The fear of the LORD[ is] the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do[ his commandments]: his praise endureth for ever.

And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times,[ and] strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD[ is] his treasure.

Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

In the fear of the LORD[ is] strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge.The fear of the LORD[ is] a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Let not thine heart envy sinners: but[ be thou] in the fear of the LORD all the day long.

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

The fear of the LORD[ is] to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Also I said, It[ is] not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?

But the former governors that[ had been] before me were chargeable unto the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, beside forty shekels of silver; yea, even their servants bare rule over the people: but so did not I, because of the fear of God.

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

If[ there be] therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

But the word of God grew and multiplied.

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but[ we do] all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

In whom ye also[ trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry,[ ye are] God’s building.According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given[ us] everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them.

He that speaketh in an[ unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater[ is] he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual[ gifts], seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

But[ when] ye go over Jordan, and dwell in the land which the LORD your God giveth you to inherit, and[ when] he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

[ Is] not the LORD your God with you? and hath he[ not] given you rest on every side? for he hath given the inhabitants of the land into mine hand; and the land is subdued before the LORD, and before his people.

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith:[ so do].

So Moab was subdued that day under the hand of Israel. And the land had rest fourscore years.

Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness unto Israel in his days.
