But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

保羅巴拿巴與之大爭競辯論、門徒定意遣保羅巴拿巴及其中數人、上耶路撒冷、見使徒及長老、以此端問之、

巴拿巴及掃羅施濟事畢、即自耶路撒冷而返、又攜約翰稱瑪可者同來、

保羅、巴拿巴、仍居安提約、與兄弟多人教誨、傳主福音之道、○越數日、保羅謂巴拿巴曰、我儕當復往我昔傳主道之諸邑、探視我兄弟何如、巴拿巴意欲攜約翰稱瑪可者同往、惟保羅以為不可攜之、因昔在旁腓利亞、彼離己不偕行共事故也、二人爭競、彼此離別、巴拿巴攜瑪可航海、往居比魯、

事主禁食時、聖神曰、當為我擇巴拿巴、掃羅、行我召彼所行之事、

亦為我求、致我啟口能言、得毅然宣示福音之奧妙、我為此福音為使者、而陷於縲絏之中、當求主使我得毅然而傳、如所當言、

其餘猶太人、皆同為偽、即巴拿巴亦被誘而為偽、

雅各磯法約翰、人所視為教之柱者、既知主賜我此恩、則施右手、交我及巴拿巴、使我與巴拿巴往教異邦人、而彼往教受割禮者、

抑我與巴拿巴、不得不作工乎、

終則現於我、我如未及產期而生者然、
