Barnabas, however, took him and brought him to the apostles and explained to them how Saul had seen the Lord on the road and that He had talked to him, and how in Damascus he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus.

But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

When they observed the boldness of Peter and John and realized that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed and recognized that they had been with Jesus.

Then after three years I did go up to Jerusalem to get to know Cephas, and I stayed with him 15 days.But I didn’t see any of the other apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.

Then he went to Tarsus to search for Saul,

we have unanimously decided to select men and send them to you along with our dearly loved Barnabas and Paul,who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As he traveled and was nearing Damascus, a light from heaven suddenly flashed around him.Falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”“ Who are You, Lord?” he said.“ I am Jesus, the One you are persecuting,” He replied.“ But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

So Ananias left and entered the house. Then he placed his hands on him and said,“ Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road you were traveling, has sent me so that you can regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

Then the report about them was heard by the church that was at Jerusalem, and they sent out Barnabas to travel as far as Antioch.

Immediately he began proclaiming Jesus in the synagogues:“ He is the Son of God.”But all who heard him were astounded and said,“ Isn’t this the man who, in Jerusalem, was destroying those who called on this name and then came here for the purpose of taking them as prisoners to the chief priests?”But Saul grew more capable and kept confounding the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that this One is the Messiah.

But after Paul and Barnabas had engaged them in serious argument and debate, the church arranged for Paul and Barnabas and some others of them to go up to the apostles and elders in Jerusalem concerning this controversy.

After they had completed their relief mission, Barnabas and Saul returned to Jerusalem, taking along John who is called Mark.

But Paul and Barnabas, along with many others, remained in Antioch teaching and proclaiming the message of the Lord.After some time had passed, Paul said to Barnabas,“ Let’s go back and visit the brothers in every town where we have preached the message of the Lord and see how they’re doing.”Barnabas wanted to take along John Mark.But Paul did not think it appropriate to take along this man who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone on with them to the work.There was such a sharp disagreement that they parted company, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed off to Cyprus.

As they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,“ Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work I have called them to.”

Pray also for me, that the message may be given to me when I open my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel.For this I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I might be bold enough in Him to speak as I should.

Then the rest of the Jews joined his hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was carried away by their hypocrisy.

When James, Cephas, and John, recognized as pillars, acknowledged the grace that had been given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to me and Barnabas, agreeing that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

Or do Barnabas and I alone have no right to refrain from working?

Last of all, as to one abnormally born, He also appeared to me.
