But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

But Barnabas took him to the apostles. He told them about Saul’s journey. He said that Saul had seen the Lord. He told how the Lord had spoken to Saul. Barnabas also said that Saul had preached without fear in Jesus’ name in Damascus.

Then Barnabas brought him to the apostles and told them how Saul had seen the Lord on the way to Damascus and how the Lord had spoken to Saul. He also told them that Saul had preached boldly in the name of Jesus in Damascus.

Thus Joseph, who was also called by the apostles Barnabas( which means son of encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus,

And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness,

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.

Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas and remained with him fifteen days.But I saw none of the other apostles except James the Lord’s brother.

So Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul,

it has seemed good to us, having come to one accord, to choose men and send them to you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,men who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven shone around him.And falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him,“ Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”And he said,“ Who are you, Lord?” And he said,“ I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.But rise and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do.”

So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said,“ Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

The report of this came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

And immediately he proclaimed Jesus in the synagogues, saying,“ He is the Son of God.”And all who heard him were amazed and said,“ Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?”But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ.

And after Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and debate with them, Paul and Barnabas and some of the others were appointed to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and the elders about this question.

And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had completed their service, bringing with them John, whose other name was Mark.

But Paul and Barnabas remained in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.And after some days Paul said to Barnabas,“ Let us return and visit the brothers in every city where we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.”Now Barnabas wanted to take with them John called Mark.But Paul thought best not to take with them one who had withdrawn from them in Pamphylia and had not gone with them to the work.And there arose a sharp disagreement, so that they separated from each other. Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus,

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said,“ Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel,for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.

And the rest of the Jews acted hypocritically along with him, so that even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy.

and when James and Cephas and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to Barnabas and me, that we should go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living?

Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.
