But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

And now, Lord, look upon their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants to speak thy word with all boldness,

Now when they beheld the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and tarried with him fifteen days.But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.

And he went forth to Tarsus to seek for Saul;

it seemed good unto us, having come to one accord, to choose out men and send them unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

And as he journeyed, it came to pass that he drew nigh unto Damascus: and suddenly there shone round about him a light out of heaven:and he fell upon the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:but rise, and enter into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

And Ananias departed, and entered into the house; and laying his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, who appeared unto thee in the way which thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mayest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

And the report concerning them came to the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas as far as Antioch:

And straightway in the synagogues he proclaimed Jesus, that he is the Son of God.And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havoc of them that called on this name? and he had come hither for this intent, that he might bring them bound before the chief priests.But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews that dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is the Christ.

And when Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and questioning with them, the brethren appointed that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministration, taking with them John whose surname was Mark.

But Paul and Barnabas tarried in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.And after some days Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us return now and visit the brethren in every city wherein we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they fare.And Barnabas was minded to take with them John also, who was called Mark.But Paul thought not good to take with them him who withdrew from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.And there arose a sharp contention, so that they parted asunder one from the other, and Barnabas took Mark with him, and sailed away unto Cyprus:

And as they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

and on my behalf, that utterance may be given unto me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

And the rest of the Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that even Barnabas was carried away with their dissimulation.

and when they perceived the grace that was given unto me, James and Cephas and John, they who were reputed to be pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship, that we should go unto the Gentiles, and they unto the circumcision;

Or I only and Barnabas, have we not a right to forbear working?

and last of all, as to the child untimely born, he appeared to me also.
