阿纳尼亚却回答：“主啊，我听许多人说过有关这个人在耶路撒冷对你的圣徒们所做的种种恶事。

亞拿尼亞回答說：『主啊，我從許多人聽見這個人的事，說他對在耶路撒冷的聖徒行了多麼大的苦害；

阿納尼亞卻回答：「主啊，我聽許多人說過有關這個人在耶路撒冷對你的聖徒們所做的種種惡事。

亞拿尼亞曰、主、我聞於眾、此人於耶路撒冷多端虐遇爾之聖徒、

亞拿尼亞曰、主、我聞人言、彼在耶路撒冷、困苦聖徒、

亞拿尼亞曰：『主、歷聞人言、彼於耶路撒冷迫害聖徒、無所不用其極；

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem.

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I’ve heard many reports about this man. They say he has done great harm to your holy people in Jerusalem.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints in Jerusalem;

Then Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.

But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many of this man, how much evil he did to thy saints at Jerusalem:

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.

But Ananias replied,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem,

But Saul was going everywhere to destroy the church. He went from house to house, dragging out both men and women to throw them into prison.

Meanwhile, Saul was uttering threats with every breath and was eager to kill the Lord’s followers. So he went to the high priest.

“‘ But Lord,’ I argued,‘ they certainly know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believed in you.And I was in complete agreement when your witness Stephen was killed. I stood by and kept the coats they took off when they stoned him.’

But Samuel asked,“ How can I do that? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.”“ Take a heifer with you,” the Lord replied,“ and say that you have come to make a sacrifice to the Lord.

Pray that I will be rescued from those in Judea who refuse to obey God. Pray also that the believers there will be willing to accept the donation I am taking to Jerusalem.

I am writing to all of you in Rome who are loved by God and are called to be his own holy people. May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

But Moses again pleaded,“ Lord, please! Send anyone else.”Then the Lord became angry with Moses.“ All right,” he said.“ What about your brother, Aaron the Levite? I know he speaks well. And look! He is on his way to meet you now. He will be delighted to see you.Talk to him, and put the words in his mouth. I will be with both of you as you speak, and I will instruct you both in what to do.Aaron will be your spokesman to the people. He will be your mouthpiece, and you will stand in the place of God for him, telling him what to say.And take your shepherd’s staff with you, and use it to perform the miraculous signs I have shown you.”So Moses went back home to Jethro, his father in law.“ Please let me return to my relatives in Egypt,” Moses said.“ I don’t even know if they are still alive.”“ Go in peace,” Jethro replied.Before Moses left Midian, the Lord said to him,“ Return to Egypt, for all those who wanted to kill you have died.”

“ Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.”But Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord. He went down to the port of Joppa, where he found a ship leaving for Tarshish. He bought a ticket and went on board, hoping to escape from the Lord by sailing to Tarshish.

Meanwhile, Peter traveled from place to place, and he came down to visit the believers in the town of Lydda.

And each time he was told,‘ Elijah isn’t here,’ King Ahab forced the king of that nation to swear to the truth of his claim.And now you say,‘ Go and tell your master,“ Elijah is here.”’But as soon as I leave you, the Spirit of the Lord will carry you away to who knows where. When Ahab comes and cannot find you, he will kill me. Yet I have been a true servant of the Lord all my life.Has no one told you, my lord, about the time when Jezebel was trying to kill the Lord’s prophets? I hid 100 of them in two caves and supplied them with food and water.And now you say,‘ Go and tell your master,“ Elijah is here.”’ Sir, if I do that, Ahab will certainly kill me.”

Indeed, I did just that in Jerusalem. Authorized by the leading priests, I caused many believers there to be sent to prison. And I cast my vote against them when they were condemned to death.Many times I had them punished in the synagogues to get them to curse Jesus. I was so violently opposed to them that I even chased them down in foreign cities.

And I persecuted the followers of the Way, hounding some to death, arresting both men and women and throwing them in prison.

even though I used to blaspheme the name of Christ. In my insolence, I persecuted his people. But God had mercy on me because I did it in ignorance and unbelief.Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus.This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it:“ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”— and I am the worst of them all.

But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!I have heard the many rumors about me. They call me“ The Man Who Lives in Terror.” They threaten,“ If you say anything, we will report it.” Even my old friends are watching me, waiting for a fatal slip.“ He will trap himself,” they say,“ and then we will get our revenge on him.”

The Spirit lifted me up and took me away. I went in bitterness and turmoil, but the Lord’s hold on me was strong.

But before I come, I must go to Jerusalem to take a gift to the believers there.For you see, the believers in Macedonia and Achaia have eagerly taken up an offering for the poor among the believers in Jerusalem.

“ Look, I am sending you out as sheep among wolves. So be as shrewd as snakes and harmless as doves.
