阿纳尼亚却回答：“主啊，我听许多人说过有关这个人在耶路撒冷对你的圣徒们所做的种种恶事。

亞拿尼亞回答說：『主啊，我從許多人聽見這個人的事，說他對在耶路撒冷的聖徒行了多麼大的苦害；

阿納尼亞卻回答：「主啊，我聽許多人說過有關這個人在耶路撒冷對你的聖徒們所做的種種惡事。

亞拿尼亞曰、主、我聞於眾、此人於耶路撒冷多端虐遇爾之聖徒、

亞拿尼亞曰、主、我聞人言、彼在耶路撒冷、困苦聖徒、

亞拿尼亞對曰、主、我聞多人言、此人在耶路撒冷、大困苦爾之聖徒、

亞拿尼亞曰：『主、歷聞人言、彼於耶路撒冷迫害聖徒、無所不用其極；

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem.

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I’ve heard many reports about this man. They say he has done great harm to your holy people in Jerusalem.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.

“ But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias,“ I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem!

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints in Jerusalem;

Then Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.

But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many of this man, how much evil he did to thy saints at Jerusalem:

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.

Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.

But Saul was trying to destroy the church; entering one house after another, he dragged off both men and women and put them in prison.

Meanwhile Saul, still breathing out threats to murder the Lord’s disciples, went to the high priest

I replied,‘ Lord, they themselves know that I imprisoned and beat those in the various synagogues who believed in you.And when the blood of your witness Stephen was shed, I myself was standing nearby, approving, and guarding the cloaks of those who were killing him.’

Samuel replied,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” But the LORD said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’

Pray that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea and that my ministry in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,

“ Go immediately to Nineveh, that large capital city, and announce judgment against its people because their wickedness has come to my attention.”Instead, Jonah immediately headed off to Tarshish to escape from the commission of the LORD. He traveled to Joppa and found a merchant ship heading to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went aboard it to go with them to Tarshish far away from the LORD.

so that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and provide her with whatever help she may need from you, for she has been a great help to many, including me.

Now as Peter was traveling around from place to place, he also came down to the saints who lived in Lydda.

Obadiah said,“ What sin have I committed that you are ready to hand your servant over to Ahab for execution?As certainly as the LORD your God lives, my master has sent to every nation and kingdom in an effort to find you. That would not be fair, because your servant has been a loyal follower of the LORD from my youth.Certainly my master is aware of what I did when Jezebel was killing the LORD’s prophets. I hid one hundred of the LORD’s prophets in two caves in two groups of fifty and I brought them food and water.Now you say,‘ Go and say to your master,“ Elijah is back,”’ but he will kill me.”

And that is what I did in Jerusalem: Not only did I lock up many of the saints in prisons by the authority I received from the chief priests, but I also cast my vote against them when they were sentenced to death.I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to force them to blaspheme. Because I was so furiously enraged at them, I went to persecute them even in foreign cities.

I persecuted this Way even to the point of death, tying up both men and women and putting them in prison,

even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,and our Lord’s grace was abundant, bringing faith and love in Christ Jesus.This saying is trustworthy and deserves full acceptance:“ Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”– and I am the worst of them!

Sometimes I think,“ I will make no mention of his message. I will not speak as his messenger any more.” But then his message becomes like a fire locked up inside of me, burning in my heart and soul. I grow weary of trying to hold it in; I cannot contain it.I hear many whispering words of intrigue against me. Those who would cause me terror are everywhere! They are saying,“ Come on, let’s publicly denounce him!” All my so-called friends are just watching for something that would lead to my downfall. They say,“ Perhaps he can be enticed into slipping up, so we can prevail over him and get our revenge on him.

A wind lifted me up and carried me away. I went bitterly, my spirit full of fury, and the hand of the LORD rested powerfully on me.

But now I go to Jerusalem to minister to the saints.For Macedonia and Achaia are pleased to make some contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

“ I am sending you out like sheep surrounded by wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.
