But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he did to Your saints in Jerusalem;

阿纳尼亚却回答：“主啊，我听许多人说过有关这个人在耶路撒冷对你的圣徒们所做的种种恶事。

亞拿尼亞回答說：「主啊，我聽見許多人說，這人怎樣在耶路撒冷多多苦害你的聖徒，

但亞拿尼亞回答：“主啊，我聽見許多人說起這個人，他在耶路撒冷作了許多苦害你聖徒的事；

亞拿尼亞回答說：『主啊，我從許多人聽見這個人的事，說他對在耶路撒冷的聖徒行了多麼大的苦害；

阿納尼亞卻回答：「主啊，我聽許多人說過有關這個人在耶路撒冷對你的聖徒們所做的種種惡事。

亞拿尼亞曰、主、我聞於眾、此人於耶路撒冷多端虐遇爾之聖徒、

亞拿尼亞曰、主、我聞人言、彼在耶路撒冷、困苦聖徒、

亞拿尼亞對曰、主、我聞多人言、此人在耶路撒冷、大困苦爾之聖徒、

亞拿尼亞曰：『主、歷聞人言、彼於耶路撒冷迫害聖徒、無所不用其極；

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your holy people in Jerusalem.

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I’ve heard many reports about this man. They say he has done great harm to your holy people in Jerusalem.

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem.

“ But Lord,” exclaimed Ananias,“ I’ve heard many people talk about the terrible things this man has done to the believers in Jerusalem!

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.

Then Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.

But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many of this man, how much evil he did to thy saints at Jerusalem:

“ Lord,” Ananias answered,“ I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem.

Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

But Ananias replied,“ Lord, I have heard from many people about this man, how much harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem,

But Ananias answered,“ Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he did to your saints at Jerusalem.

But Saul began ravaging the church, entering house after house; and he would drag away men and women and put them in prison.

Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

And I said,‘ Lord, they themselves understand that in one synagogue after another I used to imprison and beat those who believed in You.And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was being shed, I also was standing nearby and approving, and watching over the cloaks of those who were killing him.’

But Samuel said,“ How can I go? When Saul hears about it, he will kill me.” But the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may prove acceptable to the saints;

to all who are beloved of God in Rome, called as saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

But he said,“ Please, Lord, now send the message by whomever You will.”Then the anger of the Lord burned against Moses, and He said,“ Is there not your brother Aaron the Levite? I know that he speaks fluently. And moreover, behold, he is coming out to meet you; when he sees you, he will be overjoyed.So you are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I Myself will be with your mouth and his mouth, and I will instruct you in what you are to do.He shall speak for you to the people; and he will be as a mouth for you and you will be as God to him.And you shall take in your hand this staff, with which you shall perform the signs.”Then Moses departed and returned to his father in law Jethro, and said to him,“ Please, let me go, that I may return to my brothers who are in Egypt, and see if they are still alive.” And Jethro said to Moses,“ Go in peace.”Now the Lord said to Moses in Midian,“ Go back to Egypt, for all the men who were seeking your life are dead.”

“ Arise, go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry out against it, because their wickedness has come up before Me.”But Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship that was going to Tarshish, paid the fare, and boarded it to go with them to Tarshish away from the presence of the Lord.

that you receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and that you help her in whatever matter she may have need of you; for she herself has also been a helper of many, and of myself as well.

Now as Peter was traveling through all those regions, he also came down to the saints who lived at Lydda.

But he said,“ What sin have I committed, that you are handing your servant over to Ahab, to put me to death?As surely as the Lord your God lives, there is no nation or kingdom to which my master has not sent word to search for you; and whenever they say,‘ He is not here,’ he makes the kingdom or nation swear that they could not find you.Yet now you are saying,‘ Go, say to your master,“ Behold, Elijah is here!” ’And it will come about when I leave you that the Spirit of the Lord will carry you to where I do not know; so when I come and inform Ahab and he cannot find you, he will kill me, though I, your servant, have feared the Lord from my youth.Has it not been reported to my master what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, that I hid a hundred prophets of the Lord by fifties in a cave, and provided them with bread and water?Yet now you are saying,‘ Go, say to your master,“ Behold, Elijah is here” ’; he will then kill me!”

And this is just what I did in Jerusalem; not only did I lock up many of the saints in prisons, after receiving authority from the chief priests, but I also cast my vote against them when they were being put to death.And as I punished them often in all the synagogues, I tried to force them to blaspheme; and since I was extremely enraged at them, I kept pursuing them even to foreign cities.

I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and putting both men and women into prisons,

even though I was previously a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief;and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost.

But if I say,“ I will not remember Him Nor speak anymore in His name,” Then in my heart it becomes like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; And I am tired of holding it in, And I cannot endure it.For I have heard the whispering of many,“ Terror on every side! Denounce him; let’s denounce him!” All my trusted friends, Watching for my fall, say:“ Perhaps he will be persuaded, so that we may prevail against him And take our revenge on him.”

So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away; and I went embittered in the rage of my spirit, and the hand of the Lord was strong on me.

but now, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.For Macedonia and Achaia have been pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.

“ Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be as wary as serpents, and as innocent as doves.
