And the Lord[ said] unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for[ one] called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

The Lord told him,“ Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.

And the Lord said to him,“ Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying,

The Lord said,“ Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now.

“ Get up and go to the street called Straight,” the Lord said to him,“ to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, since he is praying there.

And the Lord said to him,“ Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying,

So the Lord said to him,“ Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.

“ Get up and go to the street called Straight,” the Lord said to him,“ to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, since he is praying there.

Then the Lord told him,“ Get up and go to the street called‘ Straight,’ and at Judas’ house look for a man from Tarsus named Saul. For he is praying,

The Lord said to him,“ Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judah for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying,

I am verily a man[ which am] a Jew, born in Tarsus,[ a city] in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel,[ and] taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day.

But Paul said, I am a man[ which am] a Jew of Tarsus,[ a city] in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.

[ Which] when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him forth to Tarsus.

Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:

And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter;

I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself[ thus]; Thou hast chastised me, and I was chastised, as a bullock unaccustomed[ to the yoke]: turn thou me, and I shall be turned; for thou[ art] the LORD my God.Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, I smote upon[ my] thigh: I was ashamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.[ Is] Ephraim my dear son?[ is he] a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, saith the LORD.

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

Then Jonah prayed unto the LORD his God out of the fish’s belly,And said, I cried by reason of mine affliction unto the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I,[ and] thou heardest my voice.For thou hadst cast me into the deep, in the midst of the seas; and the floods compassed me about: all thy billows and thy waves passed over me.Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple.

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for[ his] only[ son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for[ his] firstborn.

And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.

He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong[ pain]:So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones[ that] were not seen stick out.Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.His flesh shall be fresher than a child’s: he shall return to the days of his youth:He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.He looketh upon men, and[ if any] say, I have sinned, and perverted[ that which was] right, and it profited me not;He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

And now send men to Joppa, and call for[ one] Simon, whose surname is Peter:He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.And ye shall seek me, and find[ me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock,[ and] established my goings.

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men[ are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as[ his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.I tell you, this man went down to his house justified[ rather] than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he[ was] God.

And it shall come to pass,[ that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.

The sacrifice of the wicked[ is] an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright[ is] his delight.

Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spake to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they[ are written] in the book of the kings of Israel.His prayer also, and[ how God] was intreated of him, and all his sin, and his trespass, and the places wherein he built high places, and set up groves and graven images, before he was humbled: behold, they[ are] written among the sayings of the seers.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find[ him], if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
