“ Get up and go to the street called Straight,” the Lord said to him,“ to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, since he is praying there.

The Lord told him,“ Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.

And the Lord said to him,“ Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying,

The Lord said,“ Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now.

“ Get up and go to the street called Straight,” the Lord said to him,“ to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, since he is praying there.

And the Lord said to him,“ Get up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying,

So the Lord said to him,“ Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.

And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus: for behold, he prayeth;

And the Lord[ said] unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for[ one] called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

Then the Lord told him,“ Get up and go to the street called‘ Straight,’ and at Judas’ house look for a man from Tarsus named Saul. For he is praying,

The Lord said to him,“ Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judah for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying,

He continued,“ I am a Jewish man, born in Tarsus of Cilicia but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel and educated according to the strict view of our patriarchal law. Being zealous for God, just as all of you are today,

Paul said,“ I am a Jewish man from Tarsus of Cilicia, a citizen of an important city. Now I ask you, let me speak to the people.”

When the brothers found out, they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.

Then he went to Tarsus to search for Saul,

He reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house and saying,‘ Send to Joppa, and call for Simon, who is also named Peter.

I have heard Ephraim moaning,“ You disciplined me, and I have been disciplined like an untrained calf. Restore me, and I will return, for you, Lord, are my God.After I returned, I repented; After I was instructed, I struck my thigh in grief. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.”Isn’t Ephraim a precious son to Me, a delightful child? Whenever I speak against him, I certainly still think about him. Therefore, My inner being yearns for him; I will truly have compassion on him. This is the Lord’s declaration.

Out of the depths I call to You, Yahweh!Lord, listen to my voice; let Your ears be attentive to my cry for help.Yahweh, if You considered sins, Lord, who could stand?

Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from inside the fish:I called to the Lord in my distress, and He answered me. I cried out for help in the belly of Sheol; You heard my voice.You threw me into the depths, into the heart of the seas, and the current overcame me. All Your breakers and Your billows swept over me.But I said: I have been banished from Your sight, yet I will look once more toward Your holy temple.

“ So I say to you, keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

“ Then I will pour out a spirit of grace and prayer on the house of David and the residents of Jerusalem, and they will look at Me whom they pierced. They will mourn for Him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly for Him as one weeps for a firstborn.

An angel of the Lord spoke to Philip:“ Get up and go south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”( This is the desert road.)

God spares his soul from the Pit, his life from crossing the river of death.A person may be disciplined on his bed with pain and constant distress in his bones,so that he detests bread, and his soul despises his favorite food.His flesh wastes away to nothing, and his unseen bones stick out.He draws near to the Pit, and his life to the executioners.If there is an angel on his side, one mediator out of a thousand, to tell a person what is right for himand to be gracious to him and say,“ Spare him from going down to the Pit; I have found a ransom,”then his flesh will be healthier than in his youth, and he will return to the days of his youthful vigor.He will pray to God, and God will delight in him. That man will see His face with a shout of joy, and God will restore his righteousness to him.He will look at men and say,“ I have sinned and perverted what was right; yet I did not get what I deserved.He redeemed my soul from going down to the Pit, and I will continue to see the light.”

Now send men to Joppa and call for Simon, who is also named Peter.He is lodging with Simon, a tanner, whose house is by the sea.”

Call on Me in a day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

“ Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

You will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

I waited patiently for the Lord, and He turned to me and heard my cry for help.He brought me up from a desolate pit, out of the muddy clay, and set my feet on a rock, making my steps secure.

Will not God grant justice to His elect who cry out to Him day and night? Will He delay to help them?I tell you that He will swiftly grant them justice. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He find that faith on earth?”He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and looked down on everyone else:“ Two men went up to the temple complex to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The Pharisee took his stand and was praying like this:‘ God, I thank You that I’m not like other people— greedy, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of everything I get.’“ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even raise his eyes to heaven but kept striking his chest and saying,‘ God, turn Your wrath from me— a sinner!’I tell you, this one went down to his house justified rather than the other; because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Then he said,“ Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”And He said to him,“ I assure you: Today you will be with Me in paradise.”

When he was in distress, he sought the favor of Yahweh his God and earnestly humbled himself before the God of his ancestors.He prayed to Him, so He heard his petition and granted his request, and brought him back to Jerusalem, to his kingdom. So Manasseh came to know that Yahweh is God.

Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

Therefore repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.

Seek the Lord while He may be found; call to Him while He is near.Let the wicked one abandon his way and the sinful one his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, so He may have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will freely forgive.

When I kept silent, my bones became brittle from my groaning all day long.For day and night Your hand was heavy on me; my strength was drained as in the summer’s heat. SelahThen I acknowledged my sin to You and did not conceal my iniquity. I said,“ I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and You took away the guilt of my sin. SelahTherefore let everyone who is faithful pray to You at a time that You may be found. When great floodwaters come, they will not reach him.

The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.

The rest of the events of Manasseh’s reign, along with his prayer to his God and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel, are written in the Records of Israel’s Kings.His prayer and how God granted his request, and all his sin and unfaithfulness and the sites where he built high places and set up Asherah poles and carved images before he humbled himself, they are written in the Records of Hozai.

Jesus answered,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who is saying to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would ask Him, and He would give you living water.”

But from there, you will search for the Lord your God, and you will find Him when you seek Him with all your heart and all your soul.
