Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went.

他們在這城逼迫你們，你們就逃到別的城去。我確實地告訴你們：在你們走遍以色列的城鎮之前，人子必定來臨。

掃羅也贊同殺害司提反。從那一天開始，有大逼迫臨到耶路撒冷的教會。除了使徒以外，他們都分散到猶太和撒馬利亞地區。

於是那些因司提反的事受患難而四散的信徒，就一直走到腓尼基地區、塞浦路斯島和安提阿。他們只向猶太人，而不向任何人傳講福音。

但那些不肯信從的猶太人慫恿外邦人，使他們心裡敵視弟兄們。於是保羅和巴拿巴就住了很久，靠著主放膽傳道。主藉著他們的手行了神蹟和奇事，見證了他恩典的話語。以哥念城的民眾就分裂了，有的贊同猶太人，有的贊同使徒們。那時，外邦人和猶太人，與他們的首領們一同企圖凌辱使徒們，要用石頭砸死他們。兩個人知道了，就逃往利考尼亞地區的路司得和代爾貝兩個城以及周圍地區，在那裡繼續傳福音。

保羅和巴拿巴也住在安提阿，與其他許多人一起教導、傳揚主的福音。

相反，正如你們知道，雖然我們以前在腓立比受了苦、受了凌辱，但是靠著我們的神，我們還是放膽直言，在大爭戰中把神的福音傳給了你們。
