Every day in the temple complex, and in various homes, they continued teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

and that He may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah.

They inquired into what time or what circumstances the Spirit of Christ within them was indicating when He testified in advance to the messianic sufferings and the glories that would follow.It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you. These things have now been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Angels desire to look into these things.

but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles.

Immediately he began proclaiming Jesus in the synagogues:“ He is the Son of God.”

As usual, Paul went to the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days reasoned with them from the Scriptures,explaining and showing that the Messiah had to suffer and rise from the dead:“ This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Messiah.”

Then also, some of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers argued with him. Some said,“ What is this pseudo-intellectual trying to say?” Others replied,“ He seems to be a preacher of foreign deities”— because he was telling the good news about Jesus and the Resurrection.
