這時，耶穌說：「父啊！赦免他們，因為他們所做的，他們不知道。」〕士兵就抽籤分他的衣服。

這要應驗耶穌說過的話：「你所賜給我的人，我一個也不失落。」西門‧彼得帶着一把刀，就拔出來，把大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉了他的右耳，那僕人名叫馬勒古。於是耶穌對彼得說：「收刀入鞘吧！我父給我的杯，我豈可不喝呢？」
