他被欺壓，在受苦的時候卻不開口；他像羊羔被牽到宰殺之地，又像羊在剪毛的人手下無聲，他也是這樣不開口。因受欺壓和審判，他被奪去，至於他同世的人，誰想他受鞭打、從活人之地被剪除，是因我百姓的罪過呢？

我必使他們像羊羔、像公綿羊和公山羊下到宰殺之地。

你使我們當作快要被吃的羊，把我們分散在列邦中。你賣了你的子民也不賺利，所得的價值並不加添你的資財。

我默然無聲，連好話也不出口；我的愁苦就發動了，

如經上所記：我們為你的緣故終日被殺；人看我們如將宰的羊。

我卻像柔順的羊羔被牽到宰殺之地；我並不知道他們設計謀害我，說：我們把樹連果子都滅了吧！將他從活人之地剪除，使他的名不再被紀念。

因我所遭遇的是出於你，我就默然不語。

次日，約翰看見耶穌來到他那裏，就說：「看哪，神的羔羊，除去世人罪孽的！

耶和華啊，你曉得我，看見我，察驗我向你是怎樣的心。求你將他們拉出來，好像將宰的羊，叫他們等候殺戮的日子。

大祭司就站起來，對耶穌說：「你甚麼都不回答嗎？這些人作見證告你的是甚麼呢？」耶穌卻不言語。大祭司對他說：「我指着永生神叫你起誓告訴我們，你是神的兒子基督不是？」

乃是憑着基督的寶血，如同無瑕疵、無玷污的羔羊之血。

當下耶穌說：「父啊！赦免他們；因為他們所做的，他們不曉得。」兵丁就拈鬮分他的衣服。

這要應驗耶穌從前的話，說：「你所賜給我的人，我沒有失落一個。」西門‧彼得帶着一把刀，就拔出來，將大祭司的僕人砍了一刀，削掉他的右耳；那僕人名叫馬勒古。耶穌就對彼得說：「收刀入鞘吧，我父所給我的那杯，我豈可不喝呢？」
