但那撒在好土上的，是人聽了道就領悟；他總是結實：有的結了一百倍，有的六十倍，有的三十倍。』

凡聽天國之道而不領悟的，那邪惡者就來，把所撒在他心裏的攫了去：這就是撒在路旁的。

你們探索經典，因為以為在其中可以得到永生；而那為我作見證的正是這些經；

『所以你們幾時看見由神言人但以理所說那「引致荒涼的可憎之像」立在聖地上（誦讀的人須要了悟啊）；

但在集會中，我寧願用心思說上五句話、來教導人，強過捲舌頭說一萬句！

我要奔跑你誡命的路，因為你使我的心廣闊。

凡你的手見得可作的事、你總要盡力去作；因為在你所要去的陰間、那裏沒有工作，沒有設計，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。

耶穌又對他們說：『我這些話、我從前還和你們同在時所對你們講的話、就是：凡摩西《律法書》和《神言人的書》跟《詩篇》上所記的關於我的話、都必須得應驗。』於是耶穌敞開他們的心竅，使他們能曉悟經典。

於是耶穌叫了羣眾來，對他們說：『你們要聽，要領悟；

『你們幾時看見那「引致荒涼的可憎之像」立在不當立的地方（誦讀的人須要了悟啊），那時在猶太的就要逃到山上；

故此別做糊塗人了，卻要明曉主的旨意是甚麼。

『這一切你們都領悟了麼？』他們對他說：『都領悟了。』

這裏就是需要智慧的地方。有心思的人可以計算這獸的數目；因為這是一個人名的數目：其數目是六百六十六。

耶穌對他們說：『實行差我者的旨意、而完成他的工：這就是我的食物。

腓利就起身去。忽見一個埃提阿伯人、是埃提阿伯女王干大基有權力的太監、掌管女王全部銀庫的。這人上耶路撒冷來敬拜；
