But Peter replied,“ May your money be destroyed with you for thinking God’s gift can be bought!

彼得說：「你的銀子和你一同滅亡吧！因你想神的恩賜是可以用錢買的。

彼得責備他說：「你和你的錢都一同毀滅吧！因為你以為可以用錢買上帝的恩賜！

彼得對他說：“你的銀子跟你一同滅亡吧！因為你以為神的恩賜，是可以用錢買的。

彼得對他說：『你的銀子跟你一同滅亡！因為你以為上帝白白的恩是可以用錢買得來的。

彼得對他說：「你的銀子和你一起滅亡吧！因為你以為神的恩賜可以用錢買到！

彼得謂之曰、爾金與爾偕亡、因爾意上帝之賜、可以金而獲也、

彼得曰、金與汝偕亡、爾意上帝之賜、可以金市耶、

彼得謂之曰、爾之金與爾偕亡、因爾意天主之賜、以金可購也、

伯鐸祿曰：『願爾與金偕亡！爾思以金錢易取天主之恩賜乎？

Peter answered:“ May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money!

But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

But Peter said to him,“ Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!

But Peter said unto him, Thy silver perish with thee, because thou hast thought to obtain the gift of God with money.

But Peter told him,“ May your silver be destroyed with you, because you thought the gift of God could be obtained with money!

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could acquire God’s gift with money!

But Peter said to him,“ May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

Daniel answered the king,“ Keep your gifts or give them to someone else, but I will tell you what the writing means.

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!

Peter replied,“ Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The merchants who became wealthy by selling her these things will stand at a distance, terrified by her great torment. They will weep and cry out,

Your gold and silver are corroded. The very wealth you were counting on will eat away your flesh like fire. This corroded treasure you have hoarded will testify against you on the day of judgment.

Repent of your wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive your evil thoughts,

They commit adultery with their eyes, and their desire for sin is never satisfied. They lure unstable people into sin, and they are well trained in greed. They live under God’s curse.They have wandered off the right road and followed the footsteps of Balaam son of Beor, who loved to earn money by doing wrong.But Balaam was stopped from his mad course when his donkey rebuked him with a human voice.These people are as useless as dried up springs or as mist blown away by the wind. They are doomed to blackest darkness.

Do not be mean spirited and refuse someone a loan because the year for canceling debts is close at hand. If you refuse to make the loan and the needy person cries out to the Lord, you will be considered guilty of sin.

And this is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: I am sending this curse into the house of every thief and into the house of everyone who swears falsely using my name. And my curse will remain in that house and completely destroy it— even its timbers and stones.”

Do not bring any detestable objects into your home, for then you will be destroyed, just like them. You must utterly detest such things, for they are set apart for destruction.

“ What sorrow awaits you who build big houses with money gained dishonestly! You believe your wealth will buy security, putting your family’s nest beyond the reach of danger.But by the murders you committed, you have shamed your name and forfeited your lives.

“ Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free!

( Judas had bought a field with the money he received for his treachery. Falling headfirst there, his body split open, spilling out all his intestines.

Then Joshua and all the Israelites took Achan, the silver, the robe, the bar of gold, his sons, daughters, cattle, donkeys, sheep, goats, tent, and everything he had, and they brought them to the valley of Achor.Then Joshua said to Achan,“ Why have you brought trouble on us? The Lord will now bring trouble on you.” And all the Israelites stoned Achan and his family and burned their bodies.

Then Naaman and his entire party went back to find the man of God. They stood before him, and Naaman said,“ Now I know that there is no God in all the world except in Israel. So please accept a gift from your servant.”But Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept any gifts.” And though Naaman urged him to take the gift, Elisha refused.

The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles, too.

But Elisha asked him,“ Don’t you realize that I was there in spirit when Naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to receive money and clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and cattle, and male and female servants?Because you have done this, you and your descendants will suffer from Naaman’s leprosy forever.” When Gehazi left the room, he was covered with leprosy; his skin was white as snow.

And since God gave these Gentiles the same gift he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to stand in God’s way?”

For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander.

But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.

When Judas, who had betrayed him, realized that Jesus had been condemned to die, he was filled with remorse. So he took the thirty pieces of silver back to the leading priests and the elders.“ I have sinned,” he declared,“ for I have betrayed an innocent man.”“ What do we care?” they retorted.“ That’s your problem.”Then Judas threw the silver coins down in the Temple and went out and hanged himself.

The Lord detests evil plans, but he delights in pure words.
