司提反被害，掃羅也欣然同意。從那天起，耶路撒冷的教會大受迫害；除了使徒以外，所有的人都分散到猶太和撒瑪利亞各地。

又知道我蒙了神的恩，那幾位被譽為柱石的雅各、磯法和約翰，就向我和巴拿巴伸出右手互相許諾，我們要到外族人那裡去傳福音，他們要到受割禮的人那裡去傳福音；

派我們的弟兄，就是在基督的福音上和神同工的提摩太去，為了要在你們的信仰上堅定你們，勸慰你們，

我們也為這緣故不住感謝神，因為你們接受了我們所傳的神的道，不認為這是人的道，而認為這確實是神的道。這道也運行在你們信的人裡面。

並且在那些沉淪的人身上，行各樣不義的欺詐，因為他們不領受愛真理的心，使他們得救。

使徒和在猶太的弟兄們，聽說外族人也接受了神的道。

在下午三點禱告的時辰，彼得和約翰上聖殿去。有一個生來瘸腿的人被人抬來。他們天天把他放在那名叫美門的殿門口，讓他好向進殿的人討飯。他看見彼得和約翰將要進殿，就向他們討飯。

那撒在好土裡的，就是人聽了道，又明白了，結出果實來，有一百倍的，有六十倍的，有三十倍的。”

棄絕我又不接受我的話的人，自有審判他的。我所講的道在末日要定他的罪；

耶穌差派彼得和約翰，說：“你們去為我們預備逾越節的晚餐給我們吃。”

這裡的人，比帖撒羅尼迦人開明，熱切接受主的道，天天考查聖經，要知道所聽的是否與聖經相符。

於是接受他話的人都受了洗，那一天門徒增加了約三千人。

那些因司提反事件遭受苦難而四散的門徒，一直走到腓尼基、塞浦路斯、安提阿；他們不對別人傳講，只對猶太人傳講。但其中有些塞浦路斯人和古利奈人，來到安提阿，也對希臘人傳講主耶穌。主的手與他們同在，信而歸主的人就多起來。這事傳到耶路撒冷教會的耳中，他們就派巴拿巴到安提阿去。

到了耶路撒冷，他們受到教會、使徒和長老的接待，就報告神同他們一起所行的一切。
