彼得說：「你們各人要悔改，奉耶穌基督的名受洗，叫你們的罪得赦，就必領受所賜的聖靈；

他受害之後，用許多的憑據將自己活活地顯給使徒看，四十天之久向他們顯現，講說神國的事。

所以，你們要去，使萬民作我的門徒，奉父、子、聖靈的名給他們施洗。

「我素常在你們中間來往，傳講神國的道；如今我曉得，你們以後都不得再見我的面了。

有一個賣紫色布疋的婦人，名叫呂底亞，是推雅推喇城的人，素來敬拜神。她聽見了，主就開導她的心，叫她留心聽保羅所講的話。她和她一家既領了洗，便求我們說：「你們若以為我是真信主的，請到我家裏來住」；於是強留我們。

信而歸主的人越發增添，連男帶女很多。

他又對他們說：「你們往普天下去，傳福音給萬民聽。信而受洗的，必然得救；不信的，必被定罪。

因為，人心裏相信就可以稱義，口裏承認就可以得救。

放膽傳講神國的道，將主耶穌基督的事教導人，並沒有人禁止。

並不分猶太人、希臘人，自主的、為奴的，或男或女，因為你們在基督耶穌裏都成為一了。

但內中有塞浦路斯和古利奈人，他們到了安提阿也向希臘人傳講主耶穌。

他們說：「當信主耶穌，你和你一家都必得救。」他們就把主的道講給他和他全家的人聽。當夜，就在那時候，禁卒把他們帶去，洗他們的傷；他和屬乎他的人立時都受了洗。於是禁卒領他們上自己家裏去，給他們擺上飯。他和全家，因為信了神，都很喜樂。

又差遣他們去宣傳神國的道，醫治病人，

又對猶太人和希臘人證明當向神悔改，信靠我主耶穌基督。

耶穌說：「任憑死人埋葬他們的死人，你只管去傳揚神國的道。」

管會堂的基利司布和全家都信了主，還有許多哥林多人聽了，就相信受洗。
