彼得说：“你们各人要悔改，奉耶稣基督的名受洗，叫你们的罪得赦，就必领受所赐的圣灵；

所以，你们要去，使万民作我的门徒，奉父、子、圣灵的名给他们施洗。

腓利就开口从这经上起，对他传讲耶稣。二人正往前走，到了有水的地方，太监说：“看哪，这里有水，我受洗有什么妨碍呢？”

“我素常在你们中间来往，传讲神国的道；如今我晓得，你们以后都不得再见我的面了。

有一个卖紫色布匹的妇人，名叫吕底亚，是推雅推喇城的人，素来敬拜神。她听见了，主就开导她的心，叫她留心听保罗所讲的话。她和她一家既领了洗，便求我们说：“你们若以为我是真信主的，请到我家里来住”；于是强留我们。

信而归主的人越发增添，连男带女很多。

他又对他们说：“你们往普天下去，传福音给万民听。信而受洗的，必然得救；不信的，必被定罪。

因为，人心里相信就可以称义，口里承认就可以得救。

放胆传讲神国的道，将主耶稣基督的事教导人，并没有人禁止。

并不分犹太人、希腊人，自主的、为奴的，或男或女，因为你们在基督耶稣里都成为一了。

但内中有塞浦路斯和古利奈人，他们到了安提阿也向希腊人传讲主耶稣。

他们说：“当信主耶稣，你和你一家都必得救。”他们就把主的道讲给他和他全家的人听。当夜，就在那时候，禁卒把他们带去，洗他们的伤；他和属乎他的人立时都受了洗。于是禁卒领他们上自己家里去，给他们摆上饭。他和全家，因为信了神，都很喜乐。

又差遣他们去宣传神国的道，医治病人，

又对犹太人和希腊人证明当向神悔改，信靠我主耶稣基督。

耶稣说：“任凭死人埋葬他们的死人，你只管去传扬神国的道。”

管会堂的基利司布和全家都信了主，还有许多哥林多人听了，就相信受洗。
