这水所象征的洗礼，如今也藉着耶稣基督的复活拯救你们，不是清除肉体的污秽，而是向神恳求无愧的良心。

不过在主里，没有女人就没有男人，没有男人也就没有女人。

腓利就开口，从这一段经文开始，向他传讲耶稣的福音。当他们沿路前行的时候，来到一个有水的地方。太监说：“看哪，有水！有什么能阻止我受洗呢？”

“我曾在你们中间走遍各地，宣讲神的国，但现在，看哪，我知道你们都不会再见到我的面了！

有一个敬拜神的妇人，名叫莉迪娅，是锡亚蒂拉城卖紫色布的商人。她一直在听，主开启她的心窍，使她留心保罗所讲的话。当她和她的家人受了洗之后，她请求我们说：“如果你们判断我是主的信徒，请到我家里来住。”于是她极力挽留我们。

信主的人越发增加，连男带女成群结队。

耶稣对他们说：“你们要到全世界去，向万人传福音。信而受洗的人，将会得救；不信的人，将被定罪。

就是说，人心里相信以致称义，口里承认以致救恩，

他宣讲神的国、教导有关主耶稣基督的事，满有胆量、没有拦阻。

其中没有犹太人或希腊人，没有为奴的或自由的，没有男的或女的，因为你们在基督耶稣里都合而为一了。

但其中有一些塞浦路斯人和古利奈人，来到安提阿，也向希腊人讲道，传主耶稣的福音。

他们说：“要信靠主耶稣，你和你一家人就将得救。”于是他们把主的福音讲给狱卒和他家里所有的人听。当夜，就在那时刻，狱卒带他们去清洗伤口，然后他和所有的家人立刻受了洗。他把保罗和赛拉斯领到家里，摆上饭食。他和全家人因为信了神，都欢欣跳跃。

然后差派他们去宣讲神的国，并且使病人痊愈。

无论对犹太人或希腊人，我都郑重地劝诫他们要向神悔改，相信我们的主耶稣。

耶稣对他说：“让死人去埋葬他们的死人吧。至于你，你要去宣讲神的国。”

会堂主管克里斯普和他全家都信了主，还有许多哥林多人听了以后就信了，并且受了洗。
