彼得说：“你们每一个人都要悔改，奉耶稣基督的名受洗，使你们的罪得到赦免，你们就必领受上帝所赐的圣灵。

祂受难后用许多确凿的证据证实自己活着，在四十天之内屡次向使徒显现，与他们谈论上帝的国。

所以，你们要去使万民做我的门徒，奉父、子、圣灵的名给他们施洗，

结果，那天约有三千人相信了他传的道，接受了洗礼。

这水代表的洗礼现在借着耶稣基督的复活也拯救了你们。这洗礼要表明的不是除掉肉体的污秽，而是求在上帝面前有无愧的良心。

不过在主里面，女人不可没有男人，男人不可没有女人。

腓利就从这段经文入手向他传耶稣的福音。他们往前走的时候，经过一处有水的地方，太监说：“你看，这里有水，我可以在这里接受洗礼吗？”

“我一向在你们中间传扬上帝的国，如今我知道，以后你们再也见不到我的面了。

听众中有个卖紫色布匹的妇人名叫吕底亚，是推雅推喇城的人，向来敬拜上帝。上帝开启她的心，她便留心听保罗讲道。吕底亚和家人接受洗礼之后，极力邀请我们，说：“如果你们认为我是真心信主的话，请来我家住。”于是强留我们住下。

信主的人数不断增加，男女都有。

耶稣又对他们说：“你们要到世界各地去，向全人类传扬福音。相信并接受洗礼的人必定得救，不肯相信的人必被定罪。

因为人心里相信，就可以被称为义人，口里承认，就可以得救。

他勇敢地传讲上帝的国，教导有关主耶稣基督的事，没有受到任何拦阻。

从此不再分犹太人和希腊人，自由人和奴隶，男人和女人，因为你们都在基督耶稣里合而为一了。

不过，有些塞浦路斯和古利奈的信徒到了安提阿之后，也向希腊人传讲主耶稣的福音。

他们说：“要信主耶稣，你和你一家就必定得救。”于是保罗和西拉向狱卒和他全家传讲主的道。当晚，狱卒把二人带去，为他们清洗伤口。他一家老小都接受了洗礼。他请二人到家里吃饭，他和全家人充满了喜乐，因为都信了上帝。

又差遣他们出去宣讲上帝国的福音、医治病人。

我劝犹太人和希腊人都要悔改，归向上帝，信靠主耶稣基督。

耶稣说：“让死人去埋葬他们的死人吧，你只管去传扬上帝国的福音。”

会堂主管基利司布和他全家都信了主，许多哥林多人听了道后，也信了主，受了洗。
