Everyone, from the least to the greatest, often spoke of him as“ the Great One— the Power of God.”

自少至老皆聽之、曰、此人即所謂上帝之大能也、

老少無不聽信之、曰、此人乃天主之大能也、

無長無幼、莫不尊之、曰：『斯人即所謂天主之大能者歟！』

But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

I saw that one of the heads of the beast seemed wounded beyond recovery— but the fatal wound was healed! The whole world marveled at this miracle and gave allegiance to the beast.

Many will follow their evil teaching and shameful immorality. And because of these teachers, the way of truth will be slandered.

Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.

The people of Nineveh believed God’s message, and from the greatest to the least, they declared a fast and put on burlap to show their sorrow.

After all, you think you are so wise, but you enjoy putting up with fools!
