城里大大小小都听从他，说：“这就是那称为‘神的大能’的人。”

无论大小都听从他，说：“这人就是那称为神的大能者。”

所有的人，从小到大都听从他，说：“这个人就是上帝的能力，那称为大能者的。”

老少無不聽信之、曰、此人乃天主之大能也、

無長無幼、莫不尊之、曰：『斯人即所謂天主之大能者歟！』

and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed,“ This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.”

And all the people listened to him, from the least important of them to the most important. They exclaimed,“ It is right to call this man the Great Power of God!”

他们等着看他发肿，或者忽然暴毙。但等了很久，见他平安无事，就转念说，他是个神明。

众人看见保罗所作的事，就用吕高尼话大声说：“有神明成了人形，降到我们这里来了！”

他们各人必不再教导自己的邻舍和自己的同胞，说：‘你们要认识耶和华。’因为所有的人，从最小到最大的都必认识我。我也要赦免他们的罪孽，不再记着他们的罪恶。”这是耶和华的宣告。

但对那些蒙召的人，不论是犹太人或希腊人，基督是神的能力，神的智慧。

“他们从最小的到最大的，个个都贪图不义之财；从先知到祭司，全都行事诡诈。

使我们不再作小孩子，中了人的诡计和骗人的手段，给异教之风摇撼，飘来飘去，

尼尼微人信了（“信了”或译：“信服”）神，就宣告禁食，从大到小，都穿上麻衣。

你们那么精明，竟然乐意容忍愚昧的人。
