But he was full of the Holy Spirit. He looked up to heaven and saw God’s glory. He saw Jesus standing at God’s right hand.

This proposal pleased the whole group. They chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit; also Philip, Procorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas from Antioch, a convert to Judaism.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.

For God, who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

Then the glory of the Lord rose from above the cherubim and moved to the threshold of the temple. The cloud filled the temple, and the court was full of the radiance of the glory of the Lord.

For he stands at the right hand of the needy, to save their lives from those who would condemn them.The Lord says to my lord:“ Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”

But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.

The glory of the Lord went up from within the city and stopped above the mountain east of it.

I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know— God knows.And I know that this man— whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows—was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell.

But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the Lord, and with justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, to Israel his sin.

They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them.“ Men of Galilee,” they said,“ why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.”

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man.I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him.Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them:“ Rulers and elders of the people!

He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying,“ This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

Then the glory of the Lord departed from over the threshold of the temple and stopped above the cherubim.
