這樣，主耶穌對他們說完話以後，就被接到天上，坐在神的右邊。

這話使全體會眾都喜悅，於是選出了司提反——他是一個充滿信仰和聖靈的人，還有腓利、普羅克羅、尼卡諾、提門、帕米納，以及入猶太教的安提阿人尼古拉斯。

他是神榮耀的光輝，是神本體的真像，以自己大能的話語托住萬有。他成就了潔淨罪孽的事，就坐在高天至尊者的右邊。

以上所說的要點是：我們有這樣的一位大祭司，已經坐在諸天之上至尊者的寶座右邊，

於是他們都被聖靈充滿，就照著聖靈賜給他們的話，開始說出別種語言。

以賽亞說了這些話，是因為看見了耶穌的榮耀，就講論他的事。

因為那吩咐「要有光從黑暗裡照耀出來」的神，已經照耀了我們的心，為要發出神榮耀的知識之光——這光就在耶穌基督的臉上。

司提反滿有恩惠和能力，在民間行了許多大奇事和神蹟。

烏西雅王駕崩的那年，我看見主坐在至高至尊的寶座上，他衣袍的下擺遮滿了聖殿。撒拉弗侍立在他的上方，各有六個翅膀；用兩個翅膀遮臉，兩個翅膀遮腳，兩個翅膀飛翔。他們彼此呼喊說：「聖哉！聖哉！聖哉！萬軍之耶和華！他的榮耀充滿全地。」

所以弟兄們，要從你們當中挑選七個有好名聲、充滿聖靈和智慧的人；我們就委任他們統管這事務。

可是掃羅，也就是保羅，被聖靈充滿，注視著以路摩，說：「哦，你這個充滿一切詭詐、一切奸惡的人哪！魔鬼的兒子，一切公義的仇敵！你歪曲主的正道，還不停止嗎？

這些事以後，我觀看，看哪，天上有一個敞開的門。我先前所聽見的，那如同號角對我說話的聲音就說：「你上到這裡來！我要把此後必須發生的事指示給你。」我立刻就在靈裡了，看哪，有一個寶座安放在天上，有一位坐在寶座上。坐著的那一位，看起來彷彿碧玉和紅寶石；又有一道彩虹圍著寶座，看起來彷彿綠寶石。

因為耶和華站在貧窮人的右邊，要拯救他脫離那些定他死罪的人。耶和華對我主宣告：「你坐在我的右邊，等我使你的仇敵作你的腳凳。」

但司提反以智慧和聖靈說話，他們就抵擋不住。

我知道一個在基督裡的人，他十四年前被提到第三層天上。他是否在身體裡，我不知道；是否在身體外，我也不知道；只有神知道。不過我知道這樣一個人——他是否在身體裡，還是在身體外，我都不知道，只有神知道——他被提到樂園裡去，聽見了無法描述的話語，是人不可以說出來的。

正當耶穌離去，他們注目望天的時候，忽然有兩個身穿白衣的人站在他們旁邊，說：「各位加利利人哪，你們為什麼站在這裡望著天呢？這位從你們中間被接到天上去的耶穌，將來也要這樣回來，就像你們看到他升天那樣。」

我如果去為你們預備了地方，就會再來，接你們到我那裡，好使我在哪裡，你們也能在哪裡。

這城有神的榮耀，她的光輝彷彿極貴重的寶石，如同碧玉，清澈如水晶。

那時，彼得被聖靈充滿，對他們說：「民眾的首領和長老們，

他從父神領受尊貴和榮耀的時候，從那威嚴的榮耀中，有這樣的聲音向他傳來，說：「這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。」
