But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

This proposal pleased the whole company. So they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a convert from Antioch.

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact expression of his nature, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

Now the main point of what is being said is this: We have this kind of high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,

Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them.

Isaiah said these things because he saw his glory and spoke about him.

For God who said,“ Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of God’s glory in the face of Jesus Christ.

Then the glory of the LORD rose from above the cherub to the threshold of the temple. The temple was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the LORD’s glory.

Now Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people.

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty throne, and the hem of his robe filled the temple.Seraphim were standing above him; they each had six wings: with two they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they flew.And one called to another: Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Armies; his glory fills the whole earth.

Brothers and sisters, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and wisdom, whom we can appoint to this duty.

But Saul— also called Paul— filled with the Holy Spirit, stared straight at Elymasand said,“ You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery, you son of the devil and enemy of all that is right. Won’t you ever stop perverting the straight paths of the Lord?

After this I looked, and there in heaven was an open door. The first voice that I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said,“ Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”Immediately I was in the Spirit, and there was a throne in heaven and someone was seated on it.The one seated there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian stone. A rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald surrounded the throne.

For he stands at the right hand of the needy to save him from those who would condemn him.This is the declaration of the LORD to my Lord:“ Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool.”

But they were unable to stand up against his wisdom and the Spirit by whom he was speaking.

The glory of the LORD rose up from within the city and stopped on the mountain east of the city.

I know a man in Christ who was caught up to the third heaven fourteen years ago. Whether he was in the body or out of the body, I don’t know; God knows.I know that this man— whether in the body or out of the body I don’t know; God knows—was caught up into paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a human being is not allowed to speak.

As for me, however, I am filled with power by the Spirit of the LORD, with justice and courage, to proclaim to Jacob his rebellion and to Israel his sin.

While he was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.They said,“ Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen him going into heaven.”

If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, so that where I am you may be also.

Something like a throne with the appearance of lapis lazuli was above the expanse over their heads. On the throne, high above, was someone who looked like a human.From what seemed to be his waist up, I saw a gleam like amber, with what looked like fire enclosing it all around. From what seemed to be his waist down, I also saw what looked like fire. There was a brilliant light all around him.The appearance of the brilliant light all around was like that of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day. This was the appearance of the likeness of the LORD’s glory. When I saw it, I fell facedown and heard a voice speaking.

Then Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit and said to them,“ Rulers of the people and elders:

For he received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying“ This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased!”

Then the glory of the LORD moved away from the threshold of the temple and stopped above the cherubim.
