神就转身不顾，任凭他们去事奉天上的万象，正如先知书上所记载的：‘以色列家呀！你们在旷野的四十年里献上的牺牲和祭物，难道是给我的吗？

神就轉臉不顧，任憑他們事奉天上的日月星辰，正如先知書上所寫的說：以色列家啊，你們四十年間在曠野，豈是將犧牲和祭物獻給我嗎？

神就轉身不顧，任憑他們去事奉天上的萬象，正如先知書上所記載的：『以色列家呀！你們在曠野的四十年裡獻上的犧牲和祭物，難道是給我的嗎？

於是上帝轉而不顧、任其奉事天軍、如先知書所錄云、以色列室乎、爾四十年於曠野、豈以犧牲祭物獻我乎、

於是、上帝弗恤、聽其奉事天上列宿、先知書有云、以色列族乎、爾於曠野四十年、非以犧牲祭物獻我歟、

於是天主離之、聽其奉事天上群星、如先知書所載云、以色列族乎、爾於曠野歷四十年、獻犧牲祭物、豈獻於我乎、

天主乃棄置之、任彼奉事天上之日月星辰、此正如先知書所記曰：嗚呼義塞之家室、率彼曠野四十春。何曾貢我以祭品、何曾獻我以犧牲。

Then God turned away from them and abandoned them to serve the stars of heaven as their gods! In the book of the prophets it is written,‘ Was it to me you were bringing sacrifices and offerings during those forty years in the wilderness, Israel?

God turned away and gave them up to worship the stars of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: House of Israel, did you bring me offerings and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness?

But God turned away and gave them over to serve the heavenly lights; as it is written in the book of the prophets:‘ You did not offer Me victims and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness, did you, house of Israel?

“以色列家啊，你们在旷野四十年，何尝将祭物和供物献给我呢？你们抬着你们的撒古特君王，和你们为自己所造之偶像迦温—你们的神明之星。

“你们，以色列家啊，主耶和华如此说：你们若不听从我，从今以后就让各人去事奉他的偶像吧，只是不可再以你们的供物和偶像亵渎我的圣名。

耶路撒冷的房屋和犹大君王的宫殿，就是他们在其上向天上的万象烧香、向别神献浇酒祭的宫殿房屋，都必被玷污，和陀斐特一样。’”

所以，神任凭他们随着心里的情欲行污秽的事，以致彼此羞辱自己的身体。他们将神的真实变为虚谎，去敬拜事奉受造之物，不敬奉那造物的主—主是可称颂的，直到永远。阿们！因此，神任凭他们放纵可羞耻的情欲。他们的女人把自然的关系变成违反自然的；男人也是如此，放弃了和女人自然的关系，欲火攻心，男的和男的彼此贪恋，行可耻的事，就在自己身上受这逆性行为当得的报应。他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存扭曲的心，做那些不该做的事，

“无奈，我的子民不听我的声音，以色列不肯听从我。我就任凭他们心里顽梗，随自己的计谋而行。

他们竟然悖逆，使他的圣灵忧伤。他就转变，成为他们的仇敌，亲自攻击他们。

你们若离弃耶和华去事奉外邦的神明，耶和华在降福之后，必转而降祸给你们，把你们灭绝。”

以法莲亲近偶像，任凭他吧！

又恐怕你向天举目，看见耶和华—你的神为天下万民所摆列的日月星辰，就是天上的万象，就被诱惑去敬拜它们，事奉它们。

我也必选择苦待他们，使他们所惧怕的临到他们；因为我呼唤，无人回应；我说话，他们不听从；反倒做我眼中看为恶的事，选择我所不喜悦的事。”

他重新建筑他父亲希西家所毁坏的丘坛，又为巴力筑坛，造亚舍拉，效法以色列王亚哈所行的，敬拜天上的万象，事奉它们。

我若见太阳发光，明月运行，心就暗暗被引诱，口亲吻自己的手；这也是审判官裁定的罪孽，因为我背弃了至上的神。

他们离弃耶和华—他们神的一切诫命，为自己铸造了两个牛犊的像，立了亚舍拉，敬拜天上的万象，事奉巴力，

经上说：“今日，你们若听他的话，就不可硬着心，像在背叛之时。”听见他而又背叛他的是谁呢？岂不是跟着摩西从埃及出来的众人吗？神向谁发怒四十年之久呢？岂不是那些犯罪而陈尸在旷野的人吗？

四十年之久，我厌烦那世代，说：“这是心里迷糊的百姓，竟不知道我的道路！”

在那里，你们的祖宗试探我，并且观看我的作为，

因为以色列家的人，或在以色列中寄居的外人，凡与我隔绝，在心中设立偶像，把陷自己于罪的绊脚石放在面前，却来到先知那里，要为自己的事求问我的，我—耶和华必亲自报应他。我要向那人变脸，使他成为警戒和笑柄，并且我要把他从我民中剪除；你们就知道我是耶和华。先知若被骗说了一句预言，是我—耶和华骗了那先知，我要伸手攻击他，把他从我百姓以色列中除灭。他们必担当自己的罪孽。先知的罪孽和求问之人的罪孽都一样，

去事奉别神，敬拜它们，或拜太阳，或拜月亮，或拜天上的万象，是我不曾吩咐的。

我也任他们遵行那无益的律例，随从那不能使人存活的规条。

然后他领我到耶和华殿的内院。看哪，在耶和华殿门口、走廊和祭坛中间，约有二十五个人背向耶和华的殿，面向东方，向东拜太阳。

这人领以色列人出来，在埃及地，在红海，在旷野的四十年间行了奇事神迹。

你并没有将你的羊带来献给我做燔祭，也没有用牲祭尊敬我；我未曾因素祭使你操劳，也没有因乳香使你厌烦。

并且在那沉沦的人身上行各样不义的诡诈，因为他们不领受爱真理的心，好让他们得救。故此，神就给他们一个引发错误的心，叫他们信从虚谎，使一切不信真理、倒喜爱不义的人都被定罪。
