神就转身不顾，任凭他们去事奉天上的万象，正如先知书上所记载的：‘以色列家呀！你们在旷野的四十年里献上的牺牲和祭物，难道是给我的吗？

神就轉臉不顧，任憑他們事奉天上的日月星辰，正如先知書上所寫的說：以色列家啊，你們四十年間在曠野，豈是將犧牲和祭物獻給我嗎？

於是上帝轉而不顧、任其奉事天軍、如先知書所錄云、以色列室乎、爾四十年於曠野、豈以犧牲祭物獻我乎、

於是、上帝弗恤、聽其奉事天上列宿、先知書有云、以色列族乎、爾於曠野四十年、非以犧牲祭物獻我歟、

於是天主離之、聽其奉事天上群星、如先知書所載云、以色列族乎、爾於曠野歷四十年、獻犧牲祭物、豈獻於我乎、

天主乃棄置之、任彼奉事天上之日月星辰、此正如先知書所記曰：嗚呼義塞之家室、率彼曠野四十春。何曾貢我以祭品、何曾獻我以犧牲。

Then God turned away from them and abandoned them to serve the stars of heaven as their gods! In the book of the prophets it is written,‘ Was it to me you were bringing sacrifices and offerings during those forty years in the wilderness, Israel?

God turned away and gave them up to worship the stars of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets: House of Israel, did you bring me offerings and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness?

But God turned away and gave them over to serve the heavenly lights; as it is written in the book of the prophets:‘ You did not offer Me victims and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness, did you, house of Israel?

“以色列家啊，你们在旷野四十年，岂是将祭物和供物献给我呢？你们抬着为自己所造之摩洛的帐幕和偶像的龛，并你们的神星。

“以色列家啊，至于你们，主耶和华如此说：从此以后若不听从我，就任凭你们去侍奉偶像，只是不可再因你们的供物和偶像亵渎我的圣名。

耶路撒冷的房屋和犹大君王的宫殿是已经被玷污的，就是他们在其上向天上的万象烧香、向别神浇奠祭的宫殿房屋，都必与陀斐特一样。’”

所以，神任凭他们逞着心里的情欲行污秽的事，以致彼此玷辱自己的身体。他们将神的真实变为虚谎，去敬拜侍奉受造之物，不敬奉那造物的主。主乃是可称颂的，直到永远。阿们！因此，神任凭他们放纵可羞耻的情欲。他们的女人把顺性的用处变为逆性的用处；男人也是如此，弃了女人顺性的用处，欲火攻心，彼此贪恋，男和男行可羞耻的事，就在自己身上受这妄为当得的报应。他们既然故意不认识神，神就任凭他们存邪僻的心，行那些不合理的事；

“无奈，我的民不听我的声音；以色列全不理我。我便任凭他们心里刚硬，随自己的计谋而行。

他们竟悖逆，使主的圣灵担忧。他就转作他们的仇敌，亲自攻击他们。

你们若离弃耶和华去侍奉外邦神，耶和华在降福之后，必转而降祸与你们，把你们灭绝。”

“以法莲亲近偶像，任凭他吧！

又恐怕你向天举目观看，见耶和华你的神为天下万民所摆列的日月星，就是天上的万象，自己便被勾引敬拜侍奉它。

我也必拣选迷惑他们的事，使他们所惧怕的临到他们；因为我呼唤，无人答应；我说话，他们不听从；反倒行我眼中看为恶的，拣选我所不喜悦的。”

重新建筑他父希西家所毁坏的邱坛，又为巴力筑坛，做亚舍拉像，效法以色列王亚哈所行的，且敬拜侍奉天上的万象；

我若见太阳发光，明月行在空中，心就暗暗被引诱，口便亲手；这也是审判官当罚的罪孽，又是我背弃在上的神。

离弃耶和华他们神的一切诫命，为自己铸了两个牛犊的像，立了亚舍拉，敬拜天上的万象，侍奉巴力，

经上说：“你们今日若听他的话，就不可硬着心，像惹他发怒的日子一样。”那时，听见他话惹他发怒的是谁呢？岂不是跟着摩西从埃及出来的众人吗？神四十年之久，又厌烦谁呢？岂不是那些犯罪、尸首倒在旷野的人吗？

四十年之久，我厌烦那世代，说：“这是心里迷糊的百姓，竟不晓得我的作为！”

在那里，你们的祖宗试我探我，并且观看我的作为有四十年之久。

因为以色列家的人，或在以色列中寄居的外人，凡与我隔绝，将他的假神接到心里，把陷于罪的绊脚石放在面前，又就了先知来要为自己的事求问我的，我耶和华必亲自回答他。我必向那人变脸，使他作了警戒，笑谈，令人惊骇，并且我要将他从我民中剪除；你们就知道我是耶和华。先知若被迷惑说一句预言，是我耶和华任那先知受迷惑，我也必向他伸手，将他从我民以色列中除灭。他们必担当自己的罪孽。先知的罪孽和求问之人的罪孽都是一样，

去侍奉敬拜别神，或拜日头，或拜月亮，或拜天象，是主不曾吩咐的；

我也任他们遵行不美的律例，谨守不能使人活着的恶规。

他又领我到耶和华殿的内院。谁知，在耶和华的殿门口、廊子和祭坛中间，约有二十五个人背向耶和华的殿，面向东方拜日头。

这人领百姓出来，在埃及，在红海，在旷野，四十年间行了奇事神迹。

你没有将你的羊带来给我作燔祭，也没有用祭物尊敬我；我没有因供物使你服劳，也没有因乳香使你厌烦。

并且在那沉沦的人身上行各样出于不义的诡诈；因他们不领受爱真理的心，使他们得救。故此，神就给他们一个生发错误的心，叫他们信从虚谎，使一切不信真理、倒喜爱不义的人都被定罪。
