I have certainly seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their groaning, and I have come down to rescue them; and now come, I will send you to Egypt.’

我民在伊及、我見其困苦、聞其歎息、故我降臨以救之、今爾來、我遣爾往伊及、

吾民在埃及備受酷虐、苦楚萬狀、余已目睹、並聞其呼籲與悲嗟之聲、故余乃降臨而振救之、使出於水火之中。來、余將遣汝仍返埃及。」

I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’

And the Lord said,“ I have certainly seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their outcry because of their taskmasters, for I am aware of their sufferings.So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and spacious land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.And now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me; furthermore, I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them.And now come, and I will send you to Pharaoh, so that you may bring My people, the sons of Israel, out of Egypt.”

Nevertheless He looked at their distress When He heard their cry;

Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God.So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.And God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them.

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

And God said to Moses,“ I AM WHO I AM”; and He said,“ This is what you shall say to the sons of Israel:‘ I AM has sent me to you.’ ”

“ You saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt, And heard their cry by the Red Sea.

I will go down now and see whether they have done entirely as the outcry, which has come to Me indicates; and if not, I will know.”

No one has ascended into heaven, except He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.

So the people believed; and when they heard that the Lord was concerned about the sons of Israel and that He had seen their affliction, they bowed low and worshiped.

Now the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the men had built.

And when the Lord raised up judges for them, the Lord was with the judge and saved them from the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for the Lord was moved to pity by their groaning because of those who tormented and oppressed them.

For He said,“ Certainly they are My people, Sons who will not deal falsely.” So He became their Savior.In all their distress He was distressed, And the angel of His presence saved them; In His love and in His mercy He redeemed them, And He lifted them and carried them all the days of old.

Indeed, I brought you up from the land of Egypt, I redeemed you from the house of slavery, And I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam.

Then the sons of Israel said to the Lord,“ We have sinned, do to us whatever seems good to You; only please save us this day.”So they removed the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord; and He could no longer endure the misery of Israel.

Furthermore I have heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, because the Egyptians are holding them in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel,‘ I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the labors of the Egyptians, and I will rescue you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments.

He sent His servant Moses, And Aaron, whom He had chosen.

But by a prophet the Lord brought Israel up from Egypt, And by a prophet he was protected.

Bend down Your heavens, Lord, and come down; Touch the mountains, that they may smoke.

Oh, that You would tear open the heavens and come down, That the mountains would quake at Your presence—

Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take away some of the Spirit who is upon you, and put Him upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you will not bear it by yourself.

Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”
