『當應許的時期、上帝向亞伯拉罕所公然應許的、將近實現的時候、人民在埃及興盛加多，

“及至神应许亚伯拉罕的日期将到，以色列民在埃及兴盛众多，

“当上帝应许亚伯拉罕的日期将到的时候，以色列人在埃及人丁兴旺，

“当神应许亚伯拉罕的日期将到的时候，以色列人在埃及人丁兴旺，

“上帝对亚伯拉罕所应许的日子快到的时侯，以色列人在埃及的人口已大大增加。

“神给亚伯拉罕的应许快要实现的时候，以色列人在埃及人口繁盛增多；

“随着神向亚伯拉罕所宣告的那应许时期临近，以色列子民在埃及兴旺、增多，

「及至神應許亞伯拉罕的日期將到，以色列民在埃及興盛眾多，

「當上帝應許亞伯拉罕的日期將到的時候，以色列人在埃及人丁興旺，

「當神應許亞伯拉罕的日期將到的時候，以色列人在埃及人丁興旺，

「上帝對亞伯拉罕所應許的日子快到的時侯，以色列人在埃及的人口已大大增加。

“神給亞伯拉罕的應許快要實現的時候，以色列人在埃及人口繁盛增多；

「隨著神向亞伯拉罕所宣告的那應許時期臨近，以色列子民在埃及興旺、增多，

迨上帝許亞伯拉罕之期已近、民於埃及、滋生蕃衍、

迨上帝誓許亞伯拉罕之期近、我民居埃及者蕃衍、

天主立誓許亞伯拉罕之言、將驗之期、以色列民在伊及增益蕃多、

迨天主所許於亞伯漢者之期將屆、義塞人在埃及日漸蕃衍；

“ As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt had greatly increased.

“ In Egypt the number of our people grew and grew. It was nearly time for God to make his promise to Abraham come true.

“ But as the time of the promise drew near, which God had granted to Abraham, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt

“ As the time drew near when God would fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt greatly increased.

“ As the time was approaching to fulfill the promise that God had made to Abraham, the people flourished and multiplied in Egypt

“ But as the time of the promise which God had assured to Abraham was approaching, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt,

“ But when the time of the promise drew near which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt

But as the time of the promise drew nigh which God vouchsafed unto Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

“ As the time was drawing near to fulfill the promise that God had made to Abraham, the people flourished and multiplied in Egypt

But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

“ But as the time drew near for God to fulfill the promise he had declared to Abraham, the people increased greatly in number in Egypt,

“ But as the time of the promise came close which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

這人民以色列的上帝揀選了我們的祖宗，當人民僑居在埃及的時候、抬舉他們，用伸高的膀臂領他們從那裏出來。

上帝這樣說：他的後裔將來必在外人之地做僑民，那裏的人必驅使他們做奴隸，給苦害了四百年。

上帝厚待助產婦；以色列民多起來，極其強盛。

永恆主使他的人民很能生殖，使他們比敵人強盛。敵人的心轉而恨惡永恆主的人民，設詭計害他僕人。

以色列人生殖，孳生眾多，極其強盛：那地滿是他們的人。當時有新的王起來、治理埃及，跟約瑟不相知。他對他的人民說：『看哪，以色列人眾民繁多強盛，勝過我們。來吧，我們要用巧計來對付他們，恐怕他們增多起來；若遇着戰事，他們就跟恨我們的仇敵聯合、來攻打我們，離開這地而上去。』於是埃及人設立了苦工頭目來轄制他們，用重擔苦害他們；他們就為法老建造貯藏城、比東和蘭塞。但是越發苦害他們，他們倒越發繁多，越發突破限量而發達；埃及人就因以色列人的緣故而鬧恐慌。

但親愛的、這一點你們可別忘了：在主看來，一日如千年，千年如一日。關於所應許的、主並不躭延，像有些人就看為躭延了；不，他乃是以恆忍待你們的；他不願有人滅亡，惟願人人都進到悔改的地步。

永恆主對亞伯蘭說：『你要確實知道：你的後裔必寄居在一個不是自己之地的所在，必服事那地的人，那地的人必苦害他們四百年。他們所要服事的那國、我也要懲罰；後來他們要帶着大量財物、從那裏出來。至於你呢，你卻要安安然然地歸回你列祖那裏，得享長壽，受人埋葬。到了第四代，他們必回到此地來，因為亞摩利人的罪孽還沒有貫滿。』
