“神给亚伯拉罕的应许快要实现的时候，以色列人在埃及人口繁盛增多；

“及至神应许亚伯拉罕的日期将到，以色列民在埃及兴盛众多，

“当上帝应许亚伯拉罕的日期将到的时候，以色列人在埃及人丁兴旺，

“当神应许亚伯拉罕的日期将到的时候，以色列人在埃及人丁兴旺，

“上帝对亚伯拉罕所应许的日子快到的时侯，以色列人在埃及的人口已大大增加。

“随着神向亚伯拉罕所宣告的那应许时期临近，以色列子民在埃及兴旺、增多，

「及至神應許亞伯拉罕的日期將到，以色列民在埃及興盛眾多，

「當上帝應許亞伯拉罕的日期將到的時候，以色列人在埃及人丁興旺，

「當神應許亞伯拉罕的日期將到的時候，以色列人在埃及人丁興旺，

「上帝對亞伯拉罕所應許的日子快到的時侯，以色列人在埃及的人口已大大增加。

“神給亞伯拉罕的應許快要實現的時候，以色列人在埃及人口繁盛增多；

『當應許的時期、上帝向亞伯拉罕所公然應許的、將近實現的時候、人民在埃及興盛加多，

「隨著神向亞伯拉罕所宣告的那應許時期臨近，以色列子民在埃及興旺、增多，

迨上帝許亞伯拉罕之期已近、民於埃及、滋生蕃衍、

迨上帝誓許亞伯拉罕之期近、我民居埃及者蕃衍、

天主立誓許亞伯拉罕之言、將驗之期、以色列民在伊及增益蕃多、

迨天主所許於亞伯漢者之期將屆、義塞人在埃及日漸蕃衍；

“ As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt had greatly increased.

“ In Egypt the number of our people grew and grew. It was nearly time for God to make his promise to Abraham come true.

“ But as the time of the promise drew near, which God had granted to Abraham, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt

“ As the time drew near when God would fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt greatly increased.

“ As the time was approaching to fulfill the promise that God had made to Abraham, the people flourished and multiplied in Egypt

“ But as the time of the promise which God had assured to Abraham was approaching, the people increased and multiplied in Egypt,

“ But when the time of the promise drew near which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt

But as the time of the promise drew nigh which God vouchsafed unto Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

“ As the time was drawing near to fulfill the promise that God had made to Abraham, the people flourished and multiplied in Egypt

But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

“ But as the time drew near for God to fulfill the promise he had declared to Abraham, the people increased greatly in number in Egypt,

“ But as the time of the promise came close which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

以色列民的神，拣选了我们的祖先；当他们在埃及地寄居的时候，神抬举这民，用大能（“大能”原文作“高”）的膀臂，把他们从那地领出来；

神就这样说：‘你的后裔必在外地寄居，人要奴役、虐待他们四百年。’

神恩待接生妇；以色列民增多起来，而且非常强盛。

耶和华使他的子民生育众多，使他们比他们的敌人更强盛。他改变敌人的心去憎恨他的子民，用诡诈待他的众仆人。

以色列人生养繁衍众多，人数增加，极其强盛，遍满了那地。那时，有一位不认识约瑟的新王兴起来，统治埃及。他对自己的人民说：“看哪，以色列民比我们众多强盛。来吧，我们要用巧计对付他们，恐怕他们增多起来，一旦发生战争，他们就与我们的仇敌联合，攻击我们，并且离开这地。”于是，他们指派督工管辖他们，加重他们的重担苦害他们，他们为法老建造两座贮货城，就是比东和兰塞。但是，埃及人越苦害他们，他们就越发增多，越发繁衍。埃及人就惧怕以色列人。

亲爱的，这一件事你们不可忘记：在主看来，一日如千年，千年如一日。主决不耽延他的应许，像有些人以为他是耽延的一样；其实他是宽容你们，不愿有一人灭亡，却愿人人都悔改。

耶和华对亚伯兰说：“你要确实地知道，你的后裔必在外地寄居，也必服事那地的人，那地的人苦待他们四百年。他们所要服事的那国，我要亲自惩罚。后来他们必带着很多财物，从那里出来。你必得享长寿，被人埋葬，平平安安地回到你列祖那里。到了第四代，他们必回到这里，因为亚摩利人的罪孽还没有满盈。”
