Then the high priest asked Stephen,“ Are these accusations true?”

大祭司说：“真有这些事吗？”

大祭司问司提反：“真有这些事吗？”

大祭司就說：「這些事果然有嗎？」

大祭司說：「果真有這些事嗎？」

大祭司說：「果真有這些事嗎？」

大祭司問：「這是真的嗎？」

大祭司說：“真有這些事嗎？”

大祭司說：『果真有這些事麼？』

大祭司問司提反：「真有這些事嗎？」

大祭司曰、斯事然乎、司提反曰、

祭司長問士提反曰、果有是乎、

大祭司問司提反曰、果有是乎、

大司祭審問曰：『有此事乎？』

Then the high priest asked Stephen,“ Are these charges true?”

Then the high priest questioned Stephen.“ Is what these people are saying true?” he asked.

And the high priest said,“ Are these things so?”

“ Are these things true?” the high priest asked.

Now the high priest said,“ Are these things so?”

Then the high priest said,“ Are these things so?”

And the high priest said, Are these things so?

“ Is this true?” the high priest asked.

Then said the high priest, Are these things so?

Then the high priest said,“ Are these things true?”

The high priest said,“ Are these things so?”

“ We heard him say,‘ I will destroy this Temple made with human hands, and in three days I will build another, made without human hands.’”But even then they didn’t get their stories straight!Then the high priest stood up before the others and asked Jesus,“ Well, aren’t you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?”

Inside, the high priest began asking Jesus about his followers and what he had been teaching them.Jesus replied,“ Everyone knows what I teach. I have preached regularly in the synagogues and the Temple, where the people gather. I have not spoken in secret.Why are you asking me this question? Ask those who heard me. They know what I said.”

who declared,“ This man said,‘ I am able to destroy the Temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus,“ Well, aren’t you going to answer these charges? What do you have to say for yourself?”

The lying witnesses said,“ This man is always speaking against the holy Temple and against the law of Moses.We have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy the Temple and change the customs Moses handed down to us.”

Then Pilate went back into his headquarters and called for Jesus to be brought to him.“ Are you the king of the Jews?” he asked him.Jesus replied,“ Is this your own question, or did others tell you about me?”“ Am I a Jew?” Pilate retorted.“ Your own people and their leading priests brought you to me for trial. Why? What have you done?”
