Then the high priest said,“ Are these things true?”

大祭司就说：“这些事果然有吗？”

大祭司说：“果真有这些事吗？”

大祭司问：“这是真的吗？”

大祭司说：“真有这些事吗？”

大祭司问司提反：“真有这些事吗？”

大祭司就說：「這些事果然有嗎？」

大祭司說：「果真有這些事嗎？」

大祭司說：「果真有這些事嗎？」

大祭司問：「這是真的嗎？」

大祭司說：“真有這些事嗎？”

大祭司說：『果真有這些事麼？』

大祭司問司提反：「真有這些事嗎？」

大祭司曰、斯事然乎、司提反曰、

祭司長問士提反曰、果有是乎、

大祭司問司提反曰、果有是乎、

大司祭審問曰：『有此事乎？』

Then the high priest asked Stephen,“ Are these charges true?”

Then the high priest questioned Stephen.“ Is what these people are saying true?” he asked.

And the high priest said,“ Are these things so?”

Then the high priest asked Stephen,“ Are these accusations true?”

“ Are these things true?” the high priest asked.

Now the high priest said,“ Are these things so?”

Then the high priest said,“ Are these things so?”

And the high priest said, Are these things so?

“ Is this true?” the high priest asked.

Then said the high priest, Are these things so?

The high priest said,“ Are these things so?”

“ We heard him say,‘ I will destroy this temple made with hands and in three days build another not made with hands.’”Yet even on this point their testimony did not agree.Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus,“ Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

While this was happening, the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching.Jesus replied,“ I have spoken publicly to the world. I always taught in the synagogues and in the temple courts, where all the Jewish people assemble together. I have said nothing in secret.Why do you ask me? Ask those who heard what I said. They know what I said.”

and declared,“ This man said,‘ I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”So the high priest stood up and said to him,“ Have you no answer? What is this that they are testifying against you?”

They brought forward false witnesses who said,“ This man does not stop saying things against this holy place and the law.For we have heard him saying that Jesus the Nazarene will destroy this place and change the customs that Moses handed down to us.”

So Pilate went back into the governor’s residence, summoned Jesus, and asked him,“ Are you the king of the Jews?”Jesus replied,“ Are you saying this on your own initiative, or have others told you about me?”Pilate answered,“ I am not a Jew, am I? Your own people and your chief priests handed you over to me. What have you done?”
