Then they persuaded some men to say,“ We heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God!”

于是他们唆使众人，说：“我们听过他说谤渎摩西和神的话。”

于是他们暗中唆使人说：“我们听过这个人针对摩西和神说亵渎的话语。”

於是他們唆使眾人，說：“我們聽過他說謗瀆摩西和神的話。”

於是他們教唆人說：『我們曾聽見他說了謗讟摩西和上帝的話。』

於是他們暗中唆使人說：「我們聽過這個人針對摩西和神說褻瀆的話語。」

遂賄人使言曰、我儕曾聞其有謗凟摩西及上帝之言、

乃賄人使流言曰、我聞此人、僭妄摩西及上帝、

乃賄人使流言云、我聞此人出言褻瀆摩西及天主、

眾乃唆使流言、謂其誹謗摩西、褻瀆天主。

Then they secretly persuaded some men to say,“ We have heard Stephen speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God.”

Then in secret they talked some men into lying about Stephen. They said,“ We heard Stephen speak evil things against Moses and against God.”

Then they secretly instigated men who said,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

So they persuaded some men to lie about Stephen, saying,“ We heard him blaspheme Moses, and even God.”

Then they secretly persuaded some men to say,“ We heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they suborned men, who said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.

Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and[ against] God.

Then they secretly instigated some men to say,“ We have heard this man speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for false testimony against Jesus so they could put Him to death.But they could not find any, even though many false witnesses came forward. Finally, two who came forward

They will do these things because they haven’t known the Father or Me.

And why not say, just as some people slanderously claim we say,“ Let us do what is evil so that good may come”? Their condemnation is deserved!

asking him to do them a favor against Paul, that he might summon him to Jerusalem. They were preparing an ambush along the road to kill him.

When they heard it, they glorified God and said,“ You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law.But they have been told about you that you teach all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to abandon Moses, by telling them not to circumcise their children or to walk in our customs.So what is to be done? They will certainly hear that you’ve come.

When it was day, the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves under a curse: neither to eat nor to drink until they had killed Paul.There were more than 40 who had formed this plot.These men went to the chief priests and elders and said,“ We have bound ourselves under a solemn curse that we won’t eat anything until we have killed Paul.So now you, along with the Sanhedrin, make a request to the commander that he bring him down to you as if you were going to investigate his case more thoroughly. However, before he gets near, we are ready to kill him.”

After the priests had assembled with the elders and agreed on a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of moneyand told them,“ Say this,‘ His disciples came during the night and stole Him while we were sleeping.’If this reaches the governor’s ears, we will deal with him and keep you out of trouble.”So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been spread among Jewish people to this day.

When he arrived, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him and brought many serious charges that they were not able to prove,

They also presented false witnesses who said,“ This man does not stop speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the law.

Whoever blasphemes the name of Yahweh is to be put to death; the whole community must stone him. If he blasphemes the Name, he is to be put to death, whether the foreign resident or the native.

one who was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I received mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief.

But when they resisted and blasphemed, he shook his robe and told them,“ Your blood is on your own heads! I am innocent. From now on I will go to the Gentiles.”

“ This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from among your brothers.He is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness together with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors. He received living oracles to give to us.Our ancestors were unwilling to obey him, but pushed him away, and in their hearts turned back to Egypt.

shouting,“ Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this place. What’s more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has profaned this holy place.”

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom you have set your hope.For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, because he wrote about Me.But if you don’t believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

for the law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Then seat two wicked men opposite him and have them testify against him, saying,“ You have cursed God and the king!” Then take him out and stone him to death.The men of his city, the elders and nobles who lived in his city, did as Jezebel had commanded them, as was written in the letters she had sent them.They proclaimed a fast and seated Naboth at the head of the people.The two wicked men came in and sat opposite him. Then the wicked men testified against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying,“ Naboth has cursed God and the king!” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

He was faithful to the One who appointed Him, just as Moses was in all God’s household.For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house.Now every house is built by someone, but the One who built everything is God.Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s household, as a testimony to what would be said in the future.

We know that God has spoken to Moses. But this man— we don’t know where He’s from!”

After five days Ananias the high priest came down with some elders and a lawyer named Tertullus. These men presented their case against Paul to the governor.When he was called in, Tertullus began to accuse him and said:“ Since we enjoy great peace because of you, and reforms are taking place for the benefit of this nation by your foresight,we acknowledge this in every way and everywhere, most excellent Felix, with utmost gratitude.However, so that I will not burden you any further, I beg you in your graciousness to give us a brief hearing.For we have found this man to be a plague, an agitator among all the Jews throughout the Roman world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes!He even tried to desecrate the temple, so we apprehended him and wanted to judge him according to our law.

For since ancient times, Moses has had those who proclaim him in every city, and every Sabbath day he is read aloud in the synagogues.”

In all the synagogues I often tried to make them blaspheme by punishing them. I even pursued them to foreign cities since I was greatly enraged at them.

“ We aren’t stoning You for a good work,” the Jews answered,“ but for blasphemy, because You— being a man— make Yourself God.”Jesus answered them,“ Isn’t it written in your scripture, I said, you are gods?If He called those whom the word of God came to‘ gods’— and the Scripture cannot be broken—do you say,‘ You are blaspheming’ to the One the Father set apart and sent into the world, because I said: I am the Son of God?
