信主的男男女女越來越多，

我第八天受割禮，屬於以色列民族便雅憫支派，是希伯來人所生的希伯來人。按著律法來說，我是個法利賽人；

在父神看來，純潔無玷污的虔誠，就是照顧患難中的孤兒寡婦，並且保守自己不被世俗所污染。

並且變賣產業和財物，按照各人的需要分給他們。

“我們嚴厲地吩咐過你們，不准再奉這名教導。看，你們卻把你們的道理傳遍了耶路撒冷，想要把流這人的血的責任推到我們身上。”

在你征戰的日子，你的人民都樂意投身；你的少年人以聖潔為裝飾，好像清晨的甘露，到你那裡。

在你裡面輕視父母的；在你中間有壓迫寄居的和欺負孤兒寡婦的。

你們也不可發怨言，像他們有些人那樣，就被那毀滅者所滅。

聖經說：“神愛他那安置在我們裡面的靈，愛到嫉妒的地步”（或譯：“神安置在我們裡面的靈，愛到嫉妒的地步”），你們想這話是徒然的嗎？

寡婦登記，年紀必須到達六十歲，只作過一個丈夫的妻子，

寡婦若有兒孫，就應當讓兒孫先在自己家裡學習孝道，報答親恩，因為這在神面前是蒙悅納的。那無依無靠獨居的寡婦，她們仰望神，晝夜不住地祈求禱告。
