Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband[ are] at the door, and shall carry thee out.

彼得说：“你们为什么同心试探主的灵呢？埋葬你丈夫之人的脚已到门口，他们也要把你抬出去。”

彼得对她说：“你们为什么同谋来试探主的灵呢？你看，埋葬你丈夫之人的脚已到门口，他们也要把你抬出去。”

彼得对她说：“你们为什么同谋来试探主的灵呢？你看，埋葬你丈夫之人的脚已到门口，他们也要把你抬出去。”

彼得说：“你们二人怎么串通起来试探主的灵呢？埋葬你丈夫的人就到门口了，他们也要把你抬出去。”

彼得说：“你们为什么串同试探主的灵呢？你看，埋你丈夫的人的脚，已经到了门口，他们也要把你抬出去。”

彼得就对她说：“你们为什么同心试探主的灵呢？看，埋葬你丈夫之人的脚，已经到门口了，他们也要把你抬出去。”

彼得說：「你們為甚麼同心試探主的靈呢？埋葬你丈夫之人的腳已到門口，他們也要把你擡出去。」

彼得對她說：「你們為甚麼同謀來試探主的靈呢？你看，埋葬你丈夫之人的腳已到門口，他們也要把你抬出去。」

彼得對她說：「你們為甚麼同謀來試探主的靈呢？你看，埋葬你丈夫之人的腳已到門口，他們也要把你抬出去。」

彼得說：「你們二人怎麼串通起來試探主的靈呢？埋葬你丈夫的人就到門口了，他們也要把你抬出去。」

彼得說：“你們為甚麼串同試探主的靈呢？你看，埋你丈夫的人的腳，已經到了門口，他們也要把你抬出去。”

彼得對她說：『你們為甚麼同謀來試探主的靈呢？你看，那埋葬你丈夫的人的腳已經到門口，他們就要把你抬出去了。』

彼得就對她說：「你們為什麼同心試探主的靈呢？看，埋葬你丈夫之人的腳，已經到門口了，他們也要把你抬出去。」

彼得曰、爾曹胡為協同試主之神乎、葬爾夫者之足已及門、亦將舁爾出矣、

彼得曰、爾曹曷與謀試主之神耶、葬爾夫者、足已及門、亦將舁爾出矣、

彼得曰、爾曹何為同謀、試主之神乎、葬爾夫者、其足已及門、亦將舁爾出矣、

伯鐸祿曰：『夫婦同謀、以試天主之神；葬爾夫者、足已及門、行將舁爾去矣！』

Peter said to her,“ How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.”

Peter asked her,“ How could you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! You can hear the steps of the men who buried your husband. They are at the door. They will carry you out also.”

But Peter said to her,“ How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”

And Peter said,“ How could the two of you even think of conspiring to test the Spirit of the Lord like this? The young men who buried your husband are just outside the door, and they will carry you out, too.”

Then Peter said to her,“ Why did you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”

Then Peter said to her,“ Why is it that you have agreed together to put the Spirit of the Lord to the test? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out as well.”

Then Peter said to her,“ How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”

But Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to try the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them that have buried thy husband are at the door, and they shall carry thee out.

Then Peter said to her,“ Why did you agree to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out!”

Peter then told her,“ Why have you agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look! The feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out!”

But Peter asked her,“ How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out.”

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back[ part] of the price of the land?Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness,[ and] grieve him in the desert!Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

Harden not your heart, as in the provocation,[ and] as[ in] the day of temptation in the wilderness:When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.Forty years long was I grieved with[ this] generation, and said, It[ is] a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?

Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies:

Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not hearkened to my voice;

Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

When thou sawest a thief, then thou consentedst with him, and hast been partaker with adulterers.

And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where[ art] thou?And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I[ was] naked; and I hid myself.And he said, Who told thee that thou[ wast] naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest[ to be] with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.And the LORD God said unto the woman, What[ is] this[ that] thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

That they may do evil with both hands earnestly, the prince asketh, and the judge[ asketh] for a reward; and the great[ man], he uttereth his mischievous desire: so they wrap it up.

[ Though] hand[ join] in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which[ is] as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;[ Namely], of the gods of the people which[ are] round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the[ one] end of the earth even unto the[ other] end of the earth;Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:

But Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and[ the king] sent a man from before him: but ere the messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer hath sent to take away mine head? look, when the messenger cometh, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door:[ is] not the sound of his master’s feet behind him?

Every one[ that is] proud in heart[ is] an abomination to the LORD:[ though] hand[ join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried[ him] out, and buried[ him].

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?

And he said, The Jews have agreed to desire thee that thou wouldest bring down Paul to morrow into the council, as though they would enquire somewhat of him more perfectly.But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an oath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.So the chief captain[ then] let the young man depart, and charged[ him, See thou] tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.

And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
