所以，像現在這種情形，我勸大家還是不要管他們，隨他們去吧。他們的計劃和行為如果是出於人意，終必失敗；

今我語爾、宜遠此人、聽之可也、蓋其所謀所為、出於人、必自毀、

今我告爾、勿難此人、姑聽之、蓋其所謀所為若出於人、則必自毀、

為今之計、莫如予以放任、勿加干涉；若其計謀作為、乃本乎人意、則必自敗；

Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail.

So let me give you some advice. Leave these men alone! Let them go! If their plans and actions only come from people, they will fail.

So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail;

“ So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown.

耶穌回答說：「凡不是我天父栽種的都要被連根拔起來。

若非主許可，誰的話可以兌現呢？

亞蘭王和以法蓮及利瑪利的兒子陰謀毀滅他，企圖攻打並瓜分猶大，改立他比勒的兒子為王。但主耶和華說，『這陰謀必無法得逞。

列國啊，你們必被打垮、擊潰！遠方的人啊，你們要聽！整裝備戰吧，但你們必被擊垮！整裝備戰吧，但你們必被擊垮！你們設計謀吧，但休想得逞！你們定策略吧，但休想成功！因為上帝與我們同在。

任何智慧、悟性和謀略，都不能對抗耶和華。

祂挫敗狡猾人的陰謀，使他們無法得逞。祂使智者中了自己的詭計，使奸徒的計謀迅速落空。他們白天遇到黑暗，午間摸索如在夜晚。

祂挫敗列國的謀算，攔阻列邦的計劃。祂的計劃永不落空，祂的旨意萬代長存。

敵人聽說我們知道了他們的陰謀，上帝已破壞他們的詭計，就沒有來。我們回到城牆那裡，繼續各人的工作。

弟兄姊妹，想想你們蒙召時的情形。按人的標準來衡量，你們當中稱得上有智慧的不多，有能力的不多，出身名門望族的也不多。但上帝揀選了世人看為愚昧的，要使智者羞愧；上帝揀選了世上軟弱的，要使強者蒙羞；上帝揀選了世上卑賤的、被藐視的和無足輕重的，要使世人看為舉足輕重的變得無足輕重。

如果讓祂這樣繼續下去，所有的人都會信祂，那時羅馬人一定會來奪取我們的土地，擄掠我們的人民。」

因為這世上的智慧在上帝的眼中都是愚昧的，正如聖經上說：「上帝使智者中了自己的詭計。」

我必在我的土地上擊垮亞述人，在我的山上踐踏他們，除去他們加在我子民身上的軛和重擔。

然後說：「以色列人啊，你們應當慎重處置這些人。
