不要让任何人用任何方法把你们欺骗了；因为那日子来临以前，必定先有离道反教之事来到，并且那不法之人，就是那灭亡之子也会被显露出来。他反对一切被称为神的，或受人敬拜的，他又高抬自己在这一切之上，甚至坐在神的圣所里宣称自己是神。我还在你们那里的时候，一直告诉你们这些事，你们不记得吗？你们也知道，现在什么拦阻了他，好使他在所定的时候被显露出来。其实这不法的奥秘已经在做工，只是要等到那现在拦阻他的不在其中，

许多人会随从他们好色的事；真理之道也会因他们的缘故，受到亵渎。

人本来算不得什么；如果自以为是什么，就是在欺骗自己。

这些人满腹抱怨，责怪他人，顺着自己的欲望生活；他们嘴里说夸大的话，为了利益谄媚他人。

所以，如果有人对你们说‘看哪，基督在旷野里！’你们不要出去；有人说：‘看哪，他在内室里！’你们也不要相信；

至于那些公认是人物的——无论他们从前什么样，都对我没有区别；神不以外貌取人。那些公认是人物的并没有给我增添什么；

在她的额上写着一个奥秘的名号：“大巴比伦，地上的淫妇们和可憎之物的母亲。”
