We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

We are telling people about these things. And so is the Holy Spirit. God has given the Spirit to those who obey him.”

When the Advocate comes, whom I will send you from the Father– the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father– he will testify about me,and you also will testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.

how will we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was first communicated through the Lord and was confirmed to us by those who heard him,while God confirmed their witness with signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.”

We are witnesses of all the things he did both in Judea and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree,but God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen,not by all the people, but by us, the witnesses God had already chosen, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

and repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem.You are witnesses of these things.

This Jesus God raised up, and we are all witnesses of it.

and for many days he appeared to those who had accompanied him from Galilee to Jerusalem. These are now his witnesses to the people.

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages as the Spirit enabled them.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all those who heard the message.

For it seemed best to the Holy Spirit and to us not to place any greater burden on you than these necessary rules:

But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I am going away. For if I do not go away, the Advocate will not come to you, but if I go, I will send him to you.And when he comes, he will prove the world wrong concerning sin and righteousness and judgment–concerning sin, because they do not believe in me;concerning righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will see me no longer;and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.“ I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. For he will not speak on his own authority, but will speak whatever he hears, and will tell you what is to come.He will glorify me, because he will receive from me what is mine and will tell it to you.

Peter said to them,“ Repent, and each one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to himself.”

But Peter and the apostles replied,“ We must obey God rather than people.

( Now he said this about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were going to receive, for the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.)

They were shown that they were serving not themselves but you, in regard to the things now announced to you through those who proclaimed the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven– things angels long to catch a glimpse of.

This is the third time I am coming to visit you. By the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter will be established.
