We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

We are telling people about these things. And so is the Holy Spirit. God has given the Spirit to those who obey him.”

“ When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me,and you are testifying as well, because you have been with Me from the beginning.

how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard,God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders, and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

We are witnesses of all the things that He did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They also put Him to death by hanging Him on a cross.God raised Him up on the third day and granted that He be revealed,not to all the people, but to witnesses who had been chosen beforehand by God, that is, to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead.

and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.You are witnesses of these things.

It is this Jesus whom God raised up, a fact to which we are all witnesses.

and for many days He appeared to those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, the very ones who are now His witnesses to the people.

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with different tongues, as the Spirit was giving them the ability to speak out.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.

For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials:

But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment:regarding sin, because they do not believe in Me;and regarding righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you no longer are going to see Me;and regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.“ I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them at the present time.But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.He will glorify Me, for He will take from Mine and will disclose it to you.

Peter said to them,“ Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far away, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.”

But Peter and the apostles answered,“ We must obey God rather than men.

But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been announced to you through those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven— things into which angels long to look.

This is the third time that I am coming to you. On the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter shall be confirmed.
