The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead— whom you killed by hanging him on a cross.

You had Jesus killed by nailing him to a cross. But the God of our people raised Jesus from the dead.

To this fact we are witnesses!

as he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”

This Jesus God raised up, and we are all witnesses of it.

Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, who so moved in the heart of the king to so honor the temple of the LORD which is in Jerusalem!

O LORD God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, maintain the motives of your people and keep them devoted to you.

that this promise God has fulfilled to us, their children, by raising Jesus, as also it is written in the second psalm,‘ You are my Son; today I have fathered you.’

let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, this man stands before you healthy.This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, that has become the cornerstone.

“ Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man clearly attested to you by God with powerful deeds, wonders, and miraculous signs that God performed among you through him, just as you yourselves know–this man, who was handed over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you executed by nailing him to a cross at the hands of Gentiles.But God raised him up, having released him from the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held in its power.

He has done this to show mercy to our ancestors, and to remember his holy covenant–

God raised up his servant and sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each one of you from your iniquities.”

David went out to meet them and said,“ If you come to me in peace and want to help me, then I will make an alliance with you. But if you come to betray me to my enemies when I have not harmed you, may the God of our ancestors take notice and judge!”
